Best Western PLUS Ruston Hotel

Room was clean, well-maintained. In room Keurig. Staff was friendly and efficient. Desk accommodated request for ground floor away from elevators. Breakfast options were fine.

Easy, quick check-in, clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff.

First room was musty smelling and felt like it had not been cleaned. Asked for a second room, and the bed was completely wrinkled and looked like somebody had slept in it, although it looked like it had been tucked in, but the fitted sheet was barely on the mattress. Asked for a third room and realize that their bed making was just The way they do it. Very wrinkly look … They just don’t iron their sheets and it looks like somebody slept in the bed, but did examine and it was clean. Just uncomfortable.

The door was open when we first got to the room and The entire room was mess when we got to the room. The pillows looked like someone had laid on them. There were nasty finger prints on the light switches and mirror. Really gross room.

It was great.

We were in town for a family vacation and this hotel was a prefect place for to stay. Conveniently located and will kept.

They false advertise. There is no complimentary reception as their website says. There pool is out of order which is ridiculous for the summer time. Then I had to wait a 1 1/2 just to check in because they said my three rooms weren't ready. And then they gave me rooms with all king beds and one was supposed to be a double. I had booked this months in advance and I find it quite ridiculous that they couldn't accomodate what I paid for. The staff was RUDE and non-caring about their check in processes. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!! I spent almost 800.00 on this place and I wish I could get money back.

When we got to the hotel, they didn’t have any rooms ready. Now mind you check in time is at 3.00pm. We are never going back to this hotel again. Poor service… they didn’t have any towels available either.

Considering the 8.4 rating, nice appearance in photos & “no pets” policy, we picked this over 2 others w similar ratings. However, we got in late & went to bed ignoring a little dirt in the lobby, hall & room- but found more problems along the way, feeling grossed out & unhappy as we left. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this property is neglected. - Mud tracked near & into the elevator, & onto hall carpet was still there next morning. - Hall carpets looked as if they hadn’t been vacuumed in a couple weeks, & corners were very neglected. - Smeary mirror - Dirty carpet- not vacuumed recently- dirt worse at edges & behind doors. - sign of mouse eating sunflower seeds behind a chair - dirty baseboards, chair had chocolate (or worse) on arm, dribbled dark liquid beside toilet -When I tried to log into their WiFi, I got a message that this property no longer had the service! - Last straw: No Coffee at breakfast!! Their machine was BROKEN!! And I had to ask for more utensils as the breakfast bar wasn’t being attended. I spoke with the manager, who asked if I tried the coffeemaker in my room, as I told him, I don’t use them because they are usually dirty (& certainly wouldn’t have used theirs!!)! See photos- which I showed them & they said they’d have housekeeping look at it. I would have swept the dirt up myself, & bought coffee in the cardboard dispensers at Starbucks for guests!!

The entrance of the hotel was really nice. I reserved 2 room back on December for my daughter’s graduation this month. Needless to say I only had one room and I showed Mr confirmation but was only told the hotel was booked. We all had to stay in one room. Once entering the room was smells… But once you enter the rooms there enlies all the terrible dirt and disgust… carpet dirty and smelly, bathroom toilet lid was broken. Informed the front desk and nothing happened.. thankful I prepared my own cleaning kit. I had to clean the room, refreshed the beds, dust the tables and clean the chairs before anyone seats in them… this place is only 6 or 7 years old and horrible…

After reading the reviews, I thought this would be an okay place to stay but was very wrong. The floor, walls and pretty much everything looked like they haven’t been properly cleaned in weeks. The water pressure in the shower was so low. I would not stay again.
