Upon check-in I told Sadie at the front desk that I had paid extra to not be on the first floor because I felt unsafe. Sadie looked and then informed me that the hotel was booked and there were no second floor properties available for less than an extra $100 per night. She then said it was Expedia's problemThe hotel was empty except for (starting at 5am) a large group of loud spanish speaking men who stayed in the parking lot outside of my sliding door the entire day until a large white van picked them up at the end of the day. The ac never worked and I had to crack my door for air so in addition to safety issues never slept because of the loud men outside my door daily. The bath also does not have a vent so good luck traveling with a partner. Stay somewhere else, there is a million better choices all around the area and Sadie should consider a job not in customer service

Absolutely the worst hotel experience of my life! Be warned: they lied about the room type. I booked what was advertised as a two-bedroom suite, but on arrival it was just a cramped one-bedroom suite with an extra bed in the common space. When I calmly raised this with the front desk, they sneered “too bad for you” and shouted over me the entire time I tried to speak. They admitted they don’t even have real two-bedroom suites but refused to move us or make it right. When I pressed the issue, they ordered me and my party to leave the premises under threat of calling the police. That was all while I hadn’t checked out and still had a charge on my card. Imagine paying for a stay, being screamed at, kicked out for daring to object, and then still billed for it. And even if management hadn’t been hostile, the room itself was appalling: horrendous odor, rundown furniture, noise from every direction (not an exaggeration), and multiple “amenities” closed without warning. No breakfast, no rooftop, despite being the very reasons we booked. In short: false advertising, abusive staff, unlivable conditions, and fraudulent billing. Stay far, far away.

Great place to stay fo a few days ,clean rooms good location!!!! We like it.

It would have been nice to have a bar and Restraunt as advertised. But they were all closed on holiday weekend. Booked there to have the facilities on site and had nothing. Waste of money very unhappy about with stay. Had to pay a 25 dollar a day resort fee which is fine but no drink or food available at the resort.

Second time staying at this property! Two small children, convenient to town, lake is safe & clean, decent pool and nice rooftop with delicious bar food. Breakfast on site. Rooms in the front are a bit outdated, stay more down towards the lake if you can. Will say I was highly disappointed with the front staff, highly unprofessional after a miscommunication with using lakeside after “check out” be aware, can not stay on property past 11am lol

Surfside was absolutely amazing! The staff was so pleasant, and Olivia went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We had a small issue with our AC, but the maintenance team was quick to take care of it and, just like the rest of the staff, they were incredibly friendly. The GM was also very welcoming and helpful, which made us feel right at home. Our room (412) was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The pool area was clean and well maintained, and the gentleman who oversees the beach and pool was wonderful—very knowledgeable and even shared great fishing tips with us. Overall, Surfside has an incredible team that truly cares about families having a great experience. This was our second time staying here, and it was just as special as the first. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Good location, walkable to town. Some rooms were smaller than others. Toilet seats were very low.

The staff provided immediate attention when needed. Room was cleaned daily and fresh towels each morning. Room was very comfortable

The staff at this hotel was so rude and unaccommodating, the worst experience we have both ever had!

The front desk girl at checkout was a very friendly and helpful. But our bathroom door wouldn't shut. The staff at the Rooftop lounge was the rudest I've ever experienced, and was disappointed that there is a 10pm curfew for all outdoor areas. You can't even go sit by the lake quietly to relax after 10pm. Will probably try a different place next time we visit.

Hotel was very clean and beds were comfortable. Walking distance to many shops, bars, and restaurants. Pool and beach area was very nice. Will definitely stay here again.
