We arrived on a Thursday and where amazed at the Chateau's architecture, the staff where very welcoming and the room had a fantastic view of the Menia Strait, we looked at the sample menu the staff told us to download but it didn't really appeal to us so we ate at the Four Crowns ( recommended) later we retired to or room for a restful night, the breakfast was very nice though, unfortunately the following night wasn't so restful, there was a reception for - I'm guessing a Wedding, the live music started at 8pm and lasted until 3.20am, I didn't get any sleep until turned 4am, this has completely ruined the stay at the Chateau and won't be returning, at over £330 a night to stay here the bear minimum I would expect is sleep, I think it's just bad management as we were not warned there would be noise, I think the Chateau needs to dedicate the entire building to Weddings so the only people disrupted are the wedding guests themselves and not other paying guests

The chateau is a unique property and has many beautiful features with lovely large gardens. The lounges were comfortable with beautuful views. I did feel that our room The Beaumaris room could have been updated as the furniture was quite.old and unattractive, the wardrobe door was broken. The bathroom was large and round and quite unique with showers on each side. There was only a small glass shelf over the sink. Again, more space for toiletries would have made our stay more comfortable. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens and lovely big bath towels. We had dinner the first night beautifully presented but expensive breakfast was good with lots of choice. I can highly recommend Harry's Bistro in Beaumaris for dinner. On the whole we did have a lovely 3 nights at the Chateau and would recommend.

A lovely unique property full of character. Very friendly and helpful staff. Being an old building with many original features it has its flaws but they add to its charm. All beautiful original windows so no double glazing. They rattle if it’s windy! Our room got very hot even with the radiator turned off due to the old water pipes. We opened the windows and issue was largely solved. The views over Menai Strait were spectacular. The restaurant is excellent and well worth making a reservation. Amazing three-course dinner with a sommelier assisting with the wine selection. On point reception staff who gave brilliant advice. Comfortable upper level of the castle to play board games and have late night drinks. Also, a convenient location for the Menai Straits with great views across to Snowdonia park. Would recommend for friends or partner meet up and only exception was breakfast that advertised as Welsh although had elements of a full English, with only mediocre taste or flavourings that was in contrast to the previous night's dinner at the Castle. This food was served up in the 1970s in the UK.

The castle is breathtaking, with stunning views across the Menai strait.

The majority of the rooms is not in the castle but in a converted barn, paper thin walls so you can hear everything happening in the next room. Some rooms don’t have connected bathrooms so you hear the doors constantly slam as they need to use the toilet. The meal in the restaurant costs 70 each and the amount of food you get is embarrassing, they will hide behind this by saying it’s fancy food but I would not even feed it to my dog. Save your money as even if you are rich and can afford it I suggest you find a different place.

All was perfect!

Delightful stay in the guest house on property. Wonderful groundskeeping overlooking the water. Several delightful rooms to tarry whilst reading or having a beverage including the main library with a very nice fire on a windy, chilly night. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. If ever in the area again, will definitely stay there.

Our stay at Chateau Rhianfa was excellant. The Chateau was lovely to stay in and very clean. The hospitality was fantastic and the food was excellant. We look forward to coming back again soon.

Room was lovely but the food options were limited

A beautiful place, with stunning grounds and views. All the staff were delightfully friendly, helpful and attentive. Our room was immaculate, and the bed exceptionally comfortable. The only drawback to staying in Rhianfa Lodge was the steepness of the slope up from the car park and of the steps down to the gardens and main hotel, especially in the rain - but then, we are not as agile as we once were! We liked the quirky music room, and the cosy bar with its array of Welsh beers and spirits. Breakfasts offered just about anything you could want to set you up for the day, and the delicate dinner dishes (beautifully and carefully presented) in Le Dragon Rouge offered a local produce based fine dining experience beyond anything I'd tasted before - especially the seared dogfish starter. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to return before too long. Thank you!
