Really disappointed.. we got a luxury double and I the pictures came with lovely exposed beams and four poster bed. I even sent an email to the property to say I am looking forward to sleep in that amazing bed as seen in the picture. The hotel replied saying” looking forward to see you …” what room did we get: … a very tired standard double bed , the robinet in the bathroom was not working well and was spinning in the empty, the bath tab was old and yellow the sink metal had chips , the wall paper was not right , no exposed wood instead old paper wall with air bubbles yellow and in places almost coming off, no light in the cupboard, no cosmetic mirror in the bathroom .. tea caddy and coffee was not plentiful for two persons. breakfast too expensive so we walked in the town where there are many beautiful old restaurants offering quality full breakfast. Positives: the bed was comfortable. Bar downstairs had a nice and friendly barman . Should have booked somewhere else ! my heart to see such a beautiful and old charming building being in such a state …

Very dated rooms, building needs a refurbish, good location.

Very convenient for business trip. Parking was additional which was surprising. Staff very efficient and friendly, bed not comfortable. Very frustratingly Hotels.com have over charged me and I’ve paid more than advertised rate and hotel rate as per vat receipt. Very poor from hotels.com but I can’t go through the pain of trying to make contact to sort.

Had a great stay at this hotel, great location and the aesthetics of the building of beautiful. However the rooms were not as nice as I’d have expected for the price, air con didn’t work in our room and the pool was cold.

The room was on bad condition with broken and tired fittings. There was no hot water in the shower and the view was poor. Thete was no phone in the room to request room service or complain. As we were put in a room that was over both the kitchen and reception, the reception staff and chef's need to put on music at 7.30am and 8.30am woke us up early. Im preety sure this was a room intended as staff accommodation. The relaxing holiday we were hoping to have was far from true and cost over £400 for 2 nights. The manager was meant to call me but hasn't bothered. The location and bar staff are the only reason I haven't rated this venue as 1 star.

A beautiful hotel in a great location... perfect for all the attractions Stratford has to offer. Yes there is a £7.00 charge for the parking but it wasn't a deal breaker for us. Hotel and room very clean and the bed was very comfy... great night sleep had. Breakfast was perfect too. A lovely hotel.

Great property and facilities

Room clean & spacious , bar staff Brillant , breakfast staff some great some gruff ! Parking charges £7 per day abit silly at a big hotel , pool huge , food great BUT 4 fire alarms went off ! Not relaxing being evacuated in your nightwear .

Room was clean and comfortable, gym was fine and had all standard kit for a small gym. We did not take breakfast as the town is so close. Would stay again.

Very impressive entrance and front of the hotel, very Stratford! Our rooms were as far away from reception as it was possible to be, but you can park right outside. There’s a lock on the main door which requires your room key to gain entry, would be nice if they actually activated this rather than just leaving it unlatched for anyone to wander in. Rooms were really good, the biggest bed I have ever seen! Table and two chairs, dresser, ample wardrobe and modern bathroom. The water fountain in the hallway was a nice bonus, especially with the jug in the room. A big plus to have Elemis toiletries provided as these are what I use at home, but maybe add a body cream, seemed odd to provide shampoo but no conditioner too . Cleanliness was spot on, including the daily service. The hotel has a cosy bar and lounge but if you’re in the 200 block it’s about half a mile walk from your room and drinks are very pricey. We didn’t have breakfast on site as it was £18 per person at the discounted rate, you’re so close to town with numerous alternatives. As it was a birthday treat I had a treatment at the spa, which was eye wateringly expensive, literally over three times the price of anywhere else in town, but can’t fault the treatment and atmosphere. Maybe offer hotel guests a discounted treatment? A big selling point for us was the swimming pool and gym, both really nice and made full use of during our stay, but do get very busy! After an exhausting day of travel the night

We had a lovely long weekend stay. The hotel has lots of character . Set in a great location for visiting the area. All the staff were friendly and the breakfast choice and quality is excellent. We stayed in the coach house, a great size room with lots of facilities . Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Beautiful old building in easy walking distance to the theatre and historic Stratford...if you get the chance, stay in the rooms of the old manor house!

If I could give zero stars, I would. This hotel is the epitome of all style, no substance.

This was a couple ,short visit. The hotel was lovely , clean and comfortable . And above all the hotel was next to the town tourist areas so walking was easy . Shame about no free parking at the hotel . Very friendly and helpful staff great location and would definately stay again
