老舗のホテルで街の旦那衆が利用してるそうな。歴史を保持してメンテナンスしとるね。エレベータ有るので選んだが、すれ違ったチェックアウト客いわく『リフトはずーっと故障が続いてる』。小生モ3日間いたが修理の気配無し！！　それなりに歴史感あるが22時くらいから明朝6時まで暖房と給湯が停止するのでご注意ください。なお部屋によっては階上の物音が筒抜けです。スタッフは純朴で親切丁寧。

ホテルが古いので床が傾斜しており、三半規管が弱い高齢者は、気持ち悪くなってしまう。

ショッピングなど立地は申し分ない。ホテルの設備はそれなり。エレベーターの使えない部屋だった。朝食は、毎日同じものだったが、満足感はあった。全体としては、悪くはない。

海外のホテルは高級じゃないとスリッパもパジャマも無いのかな？とよく思います。あれは日本だけ？ それと、部屋でWi-Fi使えないならしっかりと[ロビーのみ可能]等ネット上に書いて欲しい。部屋で使えると思いきや。ということが何度もあります。

The interior is a little tired but spotlessly clean.Staff were helpful.

We first visited the Salutation Hotel 29 years ago as a wedding venue and it was a premium location then. Getting the opportunity to stay there again now, we were excited to see it again. Unfortunately, it isn’t what it once was, although it was eerily familiar as little has been done to maintain or upgrade it over that time it seemed. However, there were redeeming features apart from the trip down memory lane. These included a very good hot breakfast, with an excellent manager (female) running the process, a reasonably well stocked bar with hotel prices although not too exorbitant. Easy check in and out, and finally a good location. Let down by overall condition of the hotel, especially what was supposed to be a superior twin room.

Staff in breakfast room were courteous and attentive. The young man,whose name I didn’t get, unfortunately, was especially hardworking.

My main reason for not scoring higher. Everything creaks. My reasons for scoring positively .... bar staff and location.

Nothing great to say other than it is in a good location. Pretty old and run down.

I found the whole stay comfortable, nothing was too much trouble for staff, as a solo elderly person it was perfect. I hope to return, thankyou.

Clean room, friendly staff and nice breakfast

Excellent hotel and very close to centre and shops staff so helpful and friendly and excellent choice of breakfast the only downside was lift to floors especially if you are disabled but very helpful staff try to accommodate
