It was last minute plan change from my usual stay in old hall not too far from this hotel, just being curious to find another one. Not so sure was that a right decision, Building is beautiful and amazing gland entrance and big room, however, the service is not that good. Bistro is full of student part timers, not many choice for break fast, a bit shaby as high grade hotel. My sister who does not live in UK did not have the idea of having a cold croissant for breakfast put it to toaster which she should not, and got told off. Mmmmmm...I tried to ask to switch off the taster as soon as she did it, (because there was a sign, said bread only, in same moment as she put the croissant in, we realized it will burn...) but they are busy to chat and did not do anything. So, did not feel to take blame for that, yet said little sorry to be polite, when we leave the table, angry manager did not give us any smile and said "at least you did not burn the place down". I was not expecting that... Also, Bathroom door fixture has broken, and noisy wedding people come back room midnight and you can hear absolutely anything, sound insulation need to be done. Overall, despite amazing reception staff, I can give them only 3star, not more. Shame it could be 5star for a hardware, software need to be trained.

昔ながらのイギリスのお屋敷に泊まったようで、普通のホテル滞在とはまた違った楽しい思い出になりました。スタッフの対応はとても迅速・丁寧で申し分なかったです。夕食はホテルのレストランを予約しましたが、ホテル周辺には本当に何もないので事前に予約しておいて正解だったなと思いました。4月末のオフシーズンだったことと、早めの夕食だったので料理が出て来るのも早く、味もそれなりに良かったと思います。新館に泊まったので室内は一般的なホテルとそんなに変わらなかったけれど、水周りが新しく清潔感があり良かったです。次回は旧館に泊まりたいと思いました。

まるでナショナルトラストのお屋敷のよう。受付のあるホールが美しいです。宿泊と食事は新館でしたので、別世界でお値段もカジュアルでした。ちらりと覗いた旧館のお部屋は、当時の雰囲気を残し素敵でした。宿泊料金で、全く違う体験になりそうです。

部屋は新設された新館でしたが 快適でした、 部屋からウサギが見えたり リビングルームでのランチは良かったです 雰囲気もあり部屋は快適 またぜひ利用したいです

ヨーロッパの古い建物をそのままに内装を整えてホテルにした感じでした。とても雰囲気のあるホテルで、宿泊当日も結婚式が行われた後のようでした。古い建物の隣に新しい棟をつなげレストランにしてます。街から少し離れているので夕食をレストランで取りましたが、とても混んでいて、食事が出てくるまで1時間以上待たされました。朝食はブッフェスタイルでイングリッシュブレクファーストもいただけ、とても美味しかったです。部屋やバスルームも十分な広さがあり、優雅な一時が過ごせました。

The main hotel building is absolutely beautiful! So much history and character. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The restaurant service and food was top notch for evening meal and breakfast.

Great hotel fantastic old halllots of character.

Unfortunately we discovered evidence of moth larvae under the bedside cabinets and curtains showing as threadbare carpet. Google AI confirmed larvae infestation. We saw a moth in the room which lead us to investigating. The Housekeeper assured us it was historical as are the cobwebs in the same area. We have discussed this with the Manager and he has given us a partial refund. We were offered a room change but the timing didn't work for us and the hotel was full. Our decision not to move is being used as evidence that there was no problem, but we had already stayed in the room. It was not just in our room as we checked with others in our party. Breakfast was lukewarm at best and served on cold plates, Coffee was so weak I had to put a double espresso in to get any taste. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, but solving the moth problem was not within their remit.

Crew Hall represents the last Hurrah of Victorian and Edwardian country house revamps. The public rooms, foyer and chapel are architectural gems. But it have comfortable spacious modern bedrooms combining its historic charm with modern comforts. The rooms are spotless, the staff charming and the breakfast excellent. Have stayed before will stay again

Beautiful period property with modern additional building which gives guests the best of both worlds. Stunning grounds, lovely spa facilities and enjoyed a hot stone massage. Food and drinks were spot on too. Perfect relaxing few days away.

We stayed in the old wing and the rooms are stunning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious (for all different needs catered). House and garden are beautiful. Well worth the price if old architecture is some that interests you. 2 thumps up

Booked hotel for Spa. We arrived late afternoon, our room was quite a walk from the reception area to new building. The room was ideally situated near just above the restaurant and breakfast area. We used the Spa around 4:30 which was when the children were having swimming lessons. The pool was good, the jacuzzi was small and really only fitted two people. Sauna and steam room was good, but no shower available to use after use.there was an ice area and an experience shower which wasn't that impressive. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was self service and could order some pancakes/porched eggs. Food was good. We went out to a local pub for Saturday evening meal

Male Spa staff came across bored and unenthusiastic to the point of an inconvenience to ask questions until we went back later and the standards dropped even lower with the female member struggling to form words and pointing when asked where the jacuzzi was and how the lockers worked
