It was last minute plan change from my usual stay in old hall not too far from this hotel, just being curious to find another one. Not so sure was that a right decision, Building is beautiful and amazing gland entrance and big room, however, the service is not that good. Bistro is full of student part timers, not many choice for break fast, a bit shaby as high grade hotel. My sister who does not live in UK did not have the idea of having a cold croissant for breakfast put it to toaster which she should not, and got told off. Mmmmmm...I tried to ask to switch off the taster as soon as she did it, (because there was a sign, said bread only, in same moment as she put the croissant in, we realized it will burn...) but they are busy to chat and did not do anything. So, did not feel to take blame for that, yet said little sorry to be polite, when we leave the table, angry manager did not give us any smile and said "at least you did not burn the place down". I was not expecting that... Also, Bathroom door fixture has broken, and noisy wedding people come back room midnight and you can hear absolutely anything, sound insulation need to be done. Overall, despite amazing reception staff, I can give them only 3star, not more. Shame it could be 5star for a hardware, software need to be trained.

昔ながらのイギリスのお屋敷に泊まったようで、普通のホテル滞在とはまた違った楽しい思い出になりました。スタッフの対応はとても迅速・丁寧で申し分なかったです。夕食はホテルのレストランを予約しましたが、ホテル周辺には本当に何もないので事前に予約しておいて正解だったなと思いました。4月末のオフシーズンだったことと、早めの夕食だったので料理が出て来るのも早く、味もそれなりに良かったと思います。新館に泊まったので室内は一般的なホテルとそんなに変わらなかったけれど、水周りが新しく清潔感があり良かったです。次回は旧館に泊まりたいと思いました。

まるでナショナルトラストのお屋敷のよう。受付のあるホールが美しいです。宿泊と食事は新館でしたので、別世界でお値段もカジュアルでした。ちらりと覗いた旧館のお部屋は、当時の雰囲気を残し素敵でした。宿泊料金で、全く違う体験になりそうです。

部屋は新設された新館でしたが 快適でした、 部屋からウサギが見えたり リビングルームでのランチは良かったです 雰囲気もあり部屋は快適 またぜひ利用したいです

ヨーロッパの古い建物をそのままに内装を整えてホテルにした感じでした。とても雰囲気のあるホテルで、宿泊当日も結婚式が行われた後のようでした。古い建物の隣に新しい棟をつなげレストランにしてます。街から少し離れているので夕食をレストランで取りましたが、とても混んでいて、食事が出てくるまで1時間以上待たされました。朝食はブッフェスタイルでイングリッシュブレクファーストもいただけ、とても美味しかったです。部屋やバスルームも十分な広さがあり、優雅な一時が過ごせました。

Breakfast opened too late The gym and spa didn't stay open long enough and gym didn't open early enough. I had to check out before 8;30 so I had to rush my breakfast and couldn't do a gym workout

We stayed in one of the feature rooms, the carpet was in areas threadbare, which I have never had in a nice hotel before) and behind the sofa the was dirt which had collected there for quite a while and that was threadbare as well, the room could do with a bit of a makeover and freshener up in the bathroom as there was black mold on shower door and tiles. Otherwise a lovely stay.

Definitely book a room in the old part if possible. The new wing is beautiful and clean....but it takes about 10 minutes from check in to find your room...but you'll need a map! Gorgeous grounds, food was delicious. Will visit again.

Everything was in excellent condition and the staff were helpful and friendly would definitely go again

The main building is really impressive and full of character. Gym facilities are excellent, and pool/sauna/steam room a treat. We didn’t eat at the hotel in the evening but the breakfast was great. Room was pleasingly spacious.

Absolutely lovely stay at the hotel. The entrance is so grand and picture worthy!!! Rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast was scrumptious.

I turned up to be told they had overbooked and had no room for me. I asked why no one had told me but got told there was no contact details on the booking (a lie). The staff member at the front desk simply did not care. They then told me they had a room available only for an extra £200. I was shocked and appalled at the attitude. I had driven 3 hours and told them this and got no more than a shrug in return. Appalling and will never stay here in the future.

Gorgeous hotel in spacious, well maintained grounds. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable.
