Tiny box rooms without any cooling systems. Terrible stay

Lovely hotel, highly recommend

No air-conditioning in the room. Windows have not been cleaned in many years. Not what I expected from a famous hotel.

Great location. Amazing old building with character but very comfortable. Substantial breakfast and spa was a lovely addition too. Excellent service. Would recommend and stay again.

Hotel was great, nice pool area, very elegant interior and Harrogate is a very well-kept, striking Yorkshire town, well worth a visit

Generally the stay was very good except for the spa. Jacuzzi and swimming pool were extremely dirty (both water and surrounds), time limited to 1 hour, insufficient seating for number of people allowed in the spa and staff require a refresher course on dealing with guests politely.

Beautiful hotel in the perfect location

Great feel for the hotel when we arrived, staff were very welcoming. Room was ready very early for us totally unexpected but very happy to get to the room. Disappointed with the wi fi , seemed you had to pay! Only wanted to search for local amenities. Also a little disappointed with car park charges. I work in a hotel have done for five years, not charges for carpark, free WiFi etc. we have over 146 bedrooms. Overall our stay was lovely hotel was very nice, but just the small things..

Staff excellent

We enjoyed our stay in the comfortable DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa. Our room was huge, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool in the spa area and thought there was a filling spread of food at the breakfast buffet. The hotel is within an easy walk of Harrogate's historic buildings, shopping, theatre, convention centre. We were there on a busy weekend and I think the only issue we had was with the paper thin walls between the room. We could make out every word that the people next to us were saying (they were not trying to be loud) when they came in late at night, and I'm sure that they didn't enjoy our family getting ready to use the pool for 7 am. It may be quieter during the week and if so would be perfect.

The hotel building is beautiful. The rooms were a bit basic for a Hilton and there was not even a bottle of water inside. The spa could be cleaner

Great location, beautiful hotel. Was put in a room with an adjoining door so got two nights it sounded like other people were having a conversation directly in our room. The hotel allows dogs so there was a distressed dog barking somewhere down the corridor. The spa felt quite grotty, with filthy floors in the changing rooms and rubbish strewn everywhere. Just didn't hit the mark on multiple points.
