This was an incredible hotel! It is the perfect location for quiet nights while also being a short drive to the city and the sights. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean, and the bathroom was perfect. The restaurant was great and service was awesome. We were sad to leave! We had our pup with us and they even gave her a special bed, bowl, and bag of treats.

We booked a king room but was given two doubles however was upgraded to a better room with a large fireplace which was much appreciated.

It was my bday weekend with my partner. I really enjoyed the whole place. Our room has rustic romantic ambience, the hot pool is perfect after a day exploring downtown Banff. The best of all is the wood burning fire place - while feeling the breeze of coldness! It was a perfect romantic celebration of my bday.

everything was amazing

Very impressed with the detail to attention. Clean bowls and a bed was provided for my dog and he was happy with the treats provided. Clean room, impressive food at the restaurant and excellent customer service!

We stayed at the Buffalo Mountain Lodge for our wedding and it was absolutely perfect. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed lunch at the Prow and the staff were amazing. We enjoyed the hot tub every day of our trip.

Bed is too soft. I prefer firmer one.

It was a beautiful stay!!

We spent 4 nights there. Outdoor hot tub was a pleasant surprise. The housekeeping lady was very professional. The front desk lady was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Our room was not very clean (esp. the bathroom) and the mattress was stained and was a hygiene concern. The facilities and building units are quite old.

We loved the staff, manager, property, room, everything!

Worst experience ever in Banff .. I have stayed in many hotels in downtown Banff and they are much better with more facilities in the room. This hotel is outdated except for their front desk and restaurant. Specially there restaurant manager that guy who takes your booking and sits you is arrogant and I am sure he is not from hospitality background as there is no sense of hospitality in him. I am sure many other people will agree who have stayed there as I spoke to another guest and they said the same thing. Rooms are outdated like from 90s with no fridge and microwave and bathtub has mold specially room number 702 .. if you are travelling with kids this can be a nightmare … we reached hotel at 2 pm and requested a early check in and was told that it will be ready in an hour and we will call which never came and we came back at 6pm. There was no follow up at all. Rooms were smelly with way old furniture and not in good condition. Flush do not work properly and tap flow is very low/slow::: I will make sure any of my known do not visit this hotel at all. And once again the restaurant manager is rude with no sense of hospitality. Please avoid there restaurant. Waste of money … you can find a better hotel in Banff downtown at a lower price but much better facilities and a nice respectful staff ..

Feels like a sanctuary. Every staff member has been kind to me and if something needs attention, maintenance arrives quickly. Seems like staff goes out of their way to be exceptionally accommodating. The manager has gone above and beyond and is very hands-on with making sure all her guests are happy. I am extremely grateful for the kindness I have received and will recommend this property to everyone needing a safe haven to heal and rejuvenate.

It was fantastic. Service was excellent! Food was delicious. Rooms were lovely. Mountain View was stunning. We were married there 25 years ago and were back to celebrate our anniversary. The place has been amazingly maintained.

I loved the coziness of the room and the lodge! Disappointed that we couldn’t have a fire but the staff compensated us with free breakfasts which were delicious! Beautiful surroundings! I would stay there again! Thanks to all!

My second booking they said was an "upgrade" but I had no shower pressure or outside space. Love the staff but not thrilled with them deeming this place an "upgrade". It is not what I o paid for.
