On a Sunday night in late December, I saw a mouse in my room. The front desk simply asked, “Would you like to change rooms?” and mentioned they would report it to the owner when they came in. It seemed that the hotel did not treat this as an emergency. At check-out the next day, there was no comment about the incident. When I asked if the issue had been properly communicated, I was told they were “waiting for a response from Expedia,” which made me feel like my concern was misunderstood as a request for compensation. The staff’s response was businesslike, and the facility itself left an average impression. The live music at the pub on the ground floor ends by midnight. This hotel may be more suitable for those seeking standard service rather than expecting hospitality or hygiene management.

Awesome! It's comfortable for me to staying this hotel, big and clean room, big and soft bed etc. I will reserve this hotel again when I return to Vancouver, definitely!

Good servuce and clean room.

Pros: the location is perfect. Close to the beach and restaurants. Very convenient. Cons: the AC was super cloud which made the first night impossible to sleep well. Talked to the staff and was told to deal with it since the hotel is old. The second night we turned it off before sleeping and luckily it was not too hot. The blinds didn’t do a good job blocking the light. It had to split to allow the window AC to be installed. So expect waking up by bright light 5 AM ish

Location, location, location

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location and lovely rooms.

The location of this hotel cannot be beat. The English Bay and number of the best restaurants is definitely in favor. The hotel needs to be renovated at least the carpets cleaned. That condition is unfortunate.

The place is right next to everything worth seeing. Service was great as well

We did not feel we got our money’s worth as the fan in the bathroom did not work and the shower door did not stay closed. Very disappointed in the room over all. Parking should come free with what we paid for the room. We understand it was a weekend but definitely feel it was overpriced for what we got. The staff was helpful and pleasant.

When checking in after a long drive, I asked if there was a restroom in the lobby. The front desk person said no, but I later discovered it right next to the elevators. One of the housekeepers yelled at us from the elevator, accusing us of pressing the button to keep it from going up (we did not touch the button). The room itself was clean and recently renovated, but the thin, single pane windows transmitted almost all of the loud street noise in. The window AC was also very loud. Overall, a very bad stay.

Close to the beach and plenty of options for restaurants nearby.

The hotel was really comfortable, the staff very friendly and of course, the location was top notch (one block away from English Bay and a lot of restaurants around).

The room was clean and the beds are comfortable. However, you can hear the noise from the street and from your other guests ( neighbors) and there is no vent for the bathroom. The hotel is very convenient for buses to downtown and is a pick up location of some tours and bc connector. Beach is very close. Good view of the ocean.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, allowing us to check in early as we had just arrived after a cruise The hotel was situated very close to English Bay beach which we visited on both days of our stay. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The only negative is the lifts/ elevators. We found them to be erratic and in need of refurbishment.

The staff and location was excellent. Older hotel, but kept nicely. Would definitely stay again.

Clean and comfortable.

A bit pricey for a mediocre hotel.room had a broken heater ,constantly running toilet very old .bar downstairs very noisy if you need parking forget it. No bathroom fan .everything in Vancouver is overpriced so whatever. It’s on a very noisy street. Balcony wasn’t clean . Close to beach .
