Kendalには、湖水地方の博物館、美術館もあり、Windemereが観光地化しているのに対して、Kendalは落ち着いたイギリスの地方都市の風情があります。2泊このホテルに宿泊しましたが、Windemereに宿泊できないときには、Kendalに宿泊するのも一つの手だと思います。町は川沿いの散策路があり、魅力的で、Kendal駅からもホテルは近いです。ホテルは川に面しており、落ち着いてみます。バスセンターが、ホテルから徒歩7分ぐらいのところにあり、ここから湖水地方に向かうこともできます。1日券、1週間券もあり、Windemereはもちろんのこと、グラスミア、ケズィック、コニストン方面もバスで行けます。ホテルの部屋は、大きく取ってあり、リフトもありますが、半階ほど下がってから利用することになり、重い荷物を運ぶには少し不便でした。

ケンダルでは、ホテル選びに迷いましたが、リバーサイドホテルにしてよかったです。車もおけるし、街の中心部にも近いし、城跡もすぐ近く。きれいな川を眺めながらのウォーキングもしました。ファーラーズ、チョコレートハウス、アボットホールミュージアム（アーサーランサムの部屋）も歩いてすぐの至近距離です。朝食もおいしい。

Great location overlooking river. Quiet. Handy for station. Shaver socket not working in 103. No usb sockets. Good internet. Comfortable beds. Hot shower.

We have stayed at the Riverside hotel a few times. Not been for about 8 years but had a one night stay on the 9th May. It has been one of my favourite hotels but after staying this time the cleanliness has gone down hill. The family room No 3 was very dusty on skirting boards and dado rails and window sill was covered in flies. The shower room needed bleaching around the bottom of the shower. The lamp on the dressing table was extra dusty on top . These things can be put right if you got a good cleaner in. It has certainly put me off staying again. The breakfast was so nice & were the staff. A lovely clean bed but the lack of dusting in the room has let this hotel down. 😪

The parking was easy & we walked everywhere in the town so didn’t use the car at all. The staff in the bar were friendly and helpful. We ate there both nights.

Very convenient to town for restaurants, bars and shops.

Friendly welcoming and attentive reception on arrival, this continued throughout our stay in the restaurant/Bar and Pool area. Great location, within a few easy minutes walk to the town centre. Free undercover parking is a bonus in a town centre hotel.

Stop over stay on the way to Scotland. Great staff and dinner and breakfast were great. Rooms comfortable if a little dated. All good

The hotel rooms appeared a bit tired. Phone in room must have been over 40 years old. Breakfast had poor selection. Wouldn't stay again.

Lovely central location the staff were very helpful and friendly also free parking which is a bonus.

Great stay at this hotel. Staff couldnt do enough. Rooms a good size with all amenities. Great gym and spa facilities. Would recommend.

The hotel is very tired looking. Breakfast was poor and needs more organising; bread not filled, no glasses available, food not available although 30 mins till breakfast ended. Gym facilities and pool was good as well as the bar and its menu. Overall a nice located hotel but needs some updating.

Beautiful place, nice room with good bathroom, beds were firm. View from the family room of the river was nice. Good place to access Windemere from also.
