Very close from the station, nice river view and clean room.

Kendalには、湖水地方の博物館、美術館もあり、Windemereが観光地化しているのに対して、Kendalは落ち着いたイギリスの地方都市の風情があります。2泊このホテルに宿泊しましたが、Windemereに宿泊できないときには、Kendalに宿泊するのも一つの手だと思います。町は川沿いの散策路があり、魅力的で、Kendal駅からもホテルは近いです。ホテルは川に面しており、落ち着いてみます。バスセンターが、ホテルから徒歩7分ぐらいのところにあり、ここから湖水地方に向かうこともできます。1日券、1週間券もあり、Windemereはもちろんのこと、グラスミア、ケズィック、コニストン方面もバスで行けます。ホテルの部屋は、大きく取ってあり、リフトもありますが、半階ほど下がってから利用することになり、重い荷物を運ぶには少し不便でした。

ケンダルでは、ホテル選びに迷いましたが、リバーサイドホテルにしてよかったです。車もおけるし、街の中心部にも近いし、城跡もすぐ近く。きれいな川を眺めながらのウォーキングもしました。ファーラーズ、チョコレートハウス、アボットホールミュージアム（アーサーランサムの部屋）も歩いてすぐの至近距離です。朝食もおいしい。

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff vey helpful, especially on reception. Our rooms were very clean and spacious, with comfy beds and views over the river. Very centrally located hotel with parking.

Easy check in and car park okay if spaces a little tight.Room okay if a little tired and no charging points for mobiles etc. Breakfast good and gym and swimming pool area okay changing rooms cramped and have to walk through the gym to the pool? Bar drinks as with most hotels too expensive and they wonder why people go out to eat and drink

Hotel more basic than expected with some cracks visible in various places. Bed comfy but walls thin.

Awful start to our stay. Firstly, the second carpark has zero signage, majority were reserved by other companies, and has a really tight entrance, no instructions on website inc FAQs, and very limited on email confirmation. Stressful start became more so when getting to the hotel. The person checking us in couldn't care less that we were there. Insisted that we decide what time we want breakfast, faqs on site say nothing about having to know in advance when you might be up and hungry, and the letter we received after checking in said they only need to know by 10pm, yet we were told she needed to know immediately, and rushed us along as though she had a qeueu behind with no one waiting. Just felt really unwelcome. Getting to the room meant dragging case up 7/8 steps, they had a lift but you had to go up or down stairs to get to it. Got to the room, there were wine stains and crumbs on tables, what we were hoping was just spilt sugar on a bedside table and stains on the lampshades above the beds. Nice relaxing bath after a stressful start? Nope, no bath plug. Beds were comfy enough, if not smaller than we are used to in a hotel, and pillows felt a bit flat. Asked to speak to manager about all of the above the next day, she apologised but didn't empathise or agree that those things were not acceptable, just sat, nodded, then apologised before going on with her day. The positives? The location is alright, the view from the window over the river was lovely, and most other staff ok

4 night break meeting up with friends. The staff were all friendly and proactively helpful. We did not use the spa, but parking was okay and the two 22kW EV chargers a welcome bonus. Location was perfect for town centre. Weather was wet for much of the time but we found plenty to do within a reasonable distance. Would happily stay here again.

Great room, excellent bed & bedding. Bathroom well equipped with plenty of hot water. Parking was included & close by. Staff very welcoming & accommodating. Lovely evening meal in the restaurant. Our steaks were cooked to perfection & the whole meal delicious. Only thing to let the hotel down was breakfast. Breakfast buffet was dry; the bacon was hard & fried eggs rubbery. The pot of tea was awful, which was a surprise at tea bags in bedroom were delicious. It was bad tea & doesn’t seem to have been made with boiling water. We would gladly return despite the tea !

No atmosphere in the bar and very expensive drinks. Breakfast was just average - minimum choice and hot food luke warm

Debbie at reception is really kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. Pool/Spa facilities are a nice addition. Good location close to the shops.

Lovely greeting on arrival. Parking on the doorstep which is a bonus being in the centre of Kendal. Check in was simple having already completed the online form. Facilities available were explained to us and we headed up to our room. We were a little cross with ourselves for not bringing our swimming costumes!! Room was spotless and lovely and warm. Bathroom was also clean. Love the fact that in the bathroom they have a note saying if you’ve forgotten toothpaste/brish/razors etc they have them at reception, simple but brilliant should you need. We had a great view of the river from our room, we couldn’t have asked for more. We didn’t eat or drink here but the bistro looked beautiful and inviting. Whilst the rooms aren’t super modern, they are comfy, clean and the staff are brilliant. We will choose to book here again when we head up to Kendal. In a perfect location for walking into town to explore the area. Many thanks
