The property is centrally located and within walking distance to almost everything, which was very convenient. Parking was available and was one of the main reasons we booked, although it was a little tricky to find at first. There is also a shopping center on the lower levels of the hotel, which was handy whenever we needed something.
Overall, I would describe this as an average hotel and nothing really stood out to make it feel like a true five star property. It is pretty enough, but we did not use many of the amenities such as the pool or gym, so I cannot comment on those.
We did book a spa treatment, and that was a major disappointment. The experience felt very amateur and far from relaxing. It was essentially just oil being rubbed up and down or uncomfortable hand movements that did not target any muscle tension. The room itself was bare and basic, with no robes, no slippers, and a hard bed in what felt like a basement. It certainly did not feel luxurious, especially given the premium price.
What was meant to be something special turned into a waste of two hours and a lot of money. Back in New York, I have had much better massages for a fraction of the cost. If you are considering the spa here, I would strongly recommend doing some research first because it did not meet the standards of a proper spa experience.
