Great hotel would come back again

We had paid for a deluxe room,it definitely was not deluxe really need updating Furniture and skirting board were damaged Very basic definitely not deluxe . Breakfast and evening meal was good

The staff were excellent and extremely accommodating. On the other hand- the hotel itself is tired, old, outdated and dirty. To make matters worse, there was a huge horse race (which I wasn’t aware of) and guests there were out of control. As I was walking into the lobby with my family to return to our room, a large fist fight breaks out in the lobby where a bloodied combatant is thrown out the front door. My kids thought it was cool, but I’m too old for that nonsense. My advice is before you book, ask the hotel if there are any large scale events they are hosting.

Fabulous experience on a very busy day and night for the hotel. Quick check-in, super large room with comfortable bed and pillows, abundant towels and supplies for tea and coffee making. Dinner in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced Check-out easy and quick A special thanks to the drivers of the shuttle buses to the races, they were friendly and very very kind people. Well done the Clayton Hotel!!!

The room and property was exceptionally clean.

The room was very clean and they had air conditioning which was perfect during the summer. They have a great restaurant in the hotel in case you don’t want to drive into town which is about 15 minutes away. Staff is very polite and they have under ground parking which was perfect.

Stayed here as a family of 4. Room was huge with big windows. Great air conditioning too! Plenty of free parking. Also nice to have free use of the Pool. Its nice to have a dip whilst o na road trip around Ireland! Good Steam room and sauna too. You do need to wear a hat in the pool, which they sell for €3.50 each, so maybe buy a cheap set online before you go, but otherwise very good. Didn't eat here. Bar was ok though but the glasses were quite dirty on all the drinks. Its right on the edge of Galway city if you are looking to visit the centre. There is a shopping centre and places to eat next door though. Could do with a bit of a refurb in the room but if you get a good rate, I would recomend staying here still.

Nice large family room although hadn’t had a good clean in a while. Lots of dust in the corners by the windows. Shower was awkward as bathroom was large but shower small

Alles bestens, gerne wieder. Zimmer sind gross, geräumig und sauber.

The hotel was centrally located, plenty of basement parking. Breakfast was great with plenty of options to choose from. Thank goodness there was air conditioning as the temps went above 26*C and other hotels had none. I would stay here again!

My fault not checking how far it is from the city centre. Too far away. We arrived v early from The Clayton Cork at 12:45 not expecting to check in but hopeful of 14:00-14:30 but told no chance before 15:45. We were left until that time to check in. You can’t tell me that all the rooms become available at once. Desk staff not helpful at all. When we got back in the afternoon the bed hadn’t been made and no towel change as we left them in the bath as no heated towel rail. Phoned reception for towels at 16:00 and nothing an hour later but luckily the store room was open so I got two from there. By the time we went out at 6pm still no towels. I told reception and when we got back later the towels had been replaced but the bed hadn’t been made. Disappointing service. The bathroom fan was filthy and the seal on the shower screen. The bathroom fan didn’t work at all

Está lejos del centro, si no traes carro está complicado… el hotel bastante bueno. Nuestra habitación súper amplia, solo le falta un poco de mantenimiento

This was a nice hotel and the beds were very comfortable. We all slept well here. The staff was friendly while checking us in.
