All the staff were kind. The facilities were old but well-maintained and clean. The breakfast was delicious.

日本から、女性1人旅で3日間宿泊 スタッフも気軽に声をかけてくださり、気持ちよく滞在できました 朝食はあまりたくさん食べないので、cold meal だけで十分でした 希望でhot meal もオーダー可能 朝からいろいろ食べられて、嬉しかったです 大聖堂には徒歩15分くらいかな？ 特に不便は感じませんでした 日本のように近所にすぐコンビニがあるわけではないので、出たついでに飲み物とか買って来るといいかもしれないです 部屋に冷蔵庫はないので、買うものには注意ですが。 ホテルですが、日本の方が想像するホテルとは違うので、イギリス初めての方は気をつけてくださいね セーフティボックスとか冷蔵庫は部屋にないです いわゆるB&Bのイメージです 心配だったら、予約前に聞いてみるといいかもです 私には最高に心地よい部屋でした ホームステイ中を思い出すような、家っぽい感じがすごくよかったです。 スタッフの皆さまありがとうございました😊 また泊まりたいです

Hotel with nice renovated rooms, parking lot and closeby city Centre. Good food in the restaurant, staff very friendly!

Excellent location; just a short 10-minute walk from Canterbury's gardens, shops and historic buildings, and the lady at reception kindly gave us directions and a map of Canterbury, which came in very handy. All of the staff were super-friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant (including breakfast) was excellent, and very reasonably priced. Bring a healthy appetite with you, you'll need it! A couple of slight idiosyncrasies with the bathroom, but nothing worthy of knocking a star off the review. We've already recommended the Victoria to others, and we'll definitely be back.

My partner have stayed at The Victoria a few times and will keep returning when life takes us to canterbury. Our most recent stay was due to a family emergency which became more complicated and protracted than expected. Staff at The Victoria couldn't have been more accomodating to our constant requests to extend our stay and were kind enough to jiggle thier bookings to allow us to keep the same room throughout to reduce our stress. This and their kind words made all the difference in a difficult time. Their hospitality is consistently excellent and we love how personable the service is compared to other hotels nearby which can feel a bit corporate and stiff. Breakfast selection and quality is excellent. Food offered in the restaurant for lunch/dinner is tasty, good quality, large portions and excellent value for money. Service is always swift and super friendly with special requests treated as no problem. Plenty of parking space which is free and only a short stroll into the town centre. Highly recommend this hotel!

A lovely stay, felt safe as a single traveller

On first arrival quite easy to miss car park entrance off the roundabout, large car park, lovely breakfast, good evening menu.

Good location, nice area.good size car park. Staff were very helpful, Breakfast good choice for everyone. Nice clean room,lovely comfy bed. Only suggestion would be nice to have air-conditioning in room.just very hot in bedroom..

I was very impressed with our family room, we was given a two bedroom suite, with a large bathroom and living area.

Arrived earlier than expected bur no problems checking in. Our room was extremely large and comfortable with Tea and coffee facilities. Car parking was free which was Ideal you can leave your car and take the a short walk to the Westgate of Canterbury and enter the centre of Canterbury and Canterbury Cathedral. At the Westgate you can take a Punt trip along the river, which we did and found it serene and saw lots of wildlife including Swan's Ducks and Ducklings. On our return to the Hotel we took a walk from the Westgate alongside the river though Westgate park . We ate in the hotel restaurant the Menu was extensive and there was the option of a carvery. Very good friendly service.

Einfaches Hotel mit sehr kleinen Einzelzimmern. Bei heißen Tagen werden diese extrem warm und stickig. Alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen, die Dusche hat so gut wie keinen Wasserdruck, Zimmerreinigung nur auf Anfrage. Personal sehr freundlich und angenehm, Frühstück klein aber absolut ausreichend (frisches Obst und diverse Säfte, Wurst/Käse, Cornflakes, Croissants etc, alles kontinental, gekochte Speisen sowie alles andere außer Tee und Filterkaffee zum Aufpreis) Der große Parkplatz natürlich ein Vorteil, allerdings ist die Lage für einen touristischen Besuch nicht optimal, zu Fuß ca. 20 min bis zur Kathedrale.

Exactly what you need. Quiet, clean, very good food in the restaurant. Nice breakfast. The location is great in relation to the Cathedral and High Street area. Having parking on site is such a plus. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful.
