I had the pleasure of staying at the Mystic River Resort in Early June and the whole experience has made me fall in love with Belize. The property is immaculately maintained and incredibly clean, my room was upgraded free of charge which included a plunge pool on the balcony which definitely added to the experience !. The property overlooks the Macal river which adds an ethereal vibe to the whole experience and is surrounded by a myriad of varying wildlife. The staff really re-defined amazing hospitality for me, they were both kind and always went the extra mile whenever required no ask was too big or too small and they are true credit to the establishment, service was always presented with a smile and their was no forceful upselling and everything was done in a kind and appreciative manner. The food was also something out of this world with a selection of Belizean, American and both Mayan and Garifuna food available. The excursions on offer were also varied and exciting and health and safety was always prioritized and they were easy to book onto. I truly miss seeing the humming birds at breakfast flying in and out of the restaurant and the sound of the river and the toucans in the evening. Overall it has re-defined what true hospitality and experience means to me and have thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience so much so I cannot wait to return !.

Beautiful jungle location and the nicest staff. They have a new chef and the food was amazing. Our second time there and we would go again.

Quiet…Tv’s not in rooms, no air conditioner

Our family stayed at Mystic village last week. We had two units next to each other. The staff was amazing and the overall resort exceeded our expectations. Loved the bar and restaurant which was overlooking the river. We had several day trips and the resort coordinated for us. Pool area was nice after a long day of touring.

It was difficult to keep the rooms completely clean with so many tropical insects in the surrounding. The hotel staff did clean the walkways.

Our stay was great, the place is very tranquil and well maintained, although some of the advertised amenities are not available. The hiking trails and the complimentary kayaks are not there so this information should be removed from the property description as misleading.

Fantastic resort in the jungle. Cloud 9 suite was beautiful

The resort is hidden away above a river. Accomodations are lovely, grounds are beautiful, pool is excellent, breakfasts were delicious. All in all a great experience for 2-3 days

The property was clean and very quiet, only the sounds of the jungle. Food was very good, refreshing swimming pool, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, but the standouts are the staff. Very warm and friendly staff, very accommodating. We left and went to the beach, too raucous, so we came back for the remainder of our time in Belize. Shout out to Giovanni, Nigel, Steve, Flora, Marcos, Raina, Marlin, and Mike. Don’t miss the bird walk and night walk in the jungle.

Wonderful experience at Mystic River. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our every request. The property is serene and beautiful, we were very glad to be out of town and living in the nature. Highly recommend!

This was a magical place!

Love how green this resort is. Most of the food is grown on the property. The property is small and the staff give you lot of personal attention. All cabins have beautiful private decks, and they bring you coffee to your room in the morning so you can enjoy the peace and nature.

Beautiful property with everything you could want. I appreciated the free guided bird watching and tour of the garden. We enjoyed the pool and restaurants. The staff was all very friendly. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Mystic River. The staff was friendly and very helpful and they helped to make our excursions memorable. The room was large and very clean and the drivers were extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. Make sure to go zip lining, caving and check out the Mayan ruins…unforgettable!

Food was excellent and rooms were great. Loved the fireplace in the room.

We absolutely loved this property! It was incredibly family friendly, the resort was beautiful, and we had a great time hiking the property. I cannot recommend Mystic River enough!

It was a great room, the bed was slightly firm. No air conditioning in the room was a considerable drawback, but it had multiple ceiling fans. Staff was wonderful. Location is beautiful jungle setting along the river. Very nice.

Beautiful spot and great access to ATM cave. Only thing to be aware of is the prices at the restaurants are in US dollars not Belizian as they are in most places. We were quite surprised when we received our check out bill, as it was double what we thought we would pay.
