Good place

シェルブールという街に合った、小さいながらも地元の心遣いがとても優しく感じられるホテルです。シェルブールの中心市街地のすぐそばに立地し、港、市場（木曜日朝から開催らしい）などに徒歩で簡単にアクセスできます。“シェルブールの雨傘”の風景が実感できました。決して豪華な設備ではないですが、スタッフの方の家族的なサービスが異国からの滞在客にとって心地よいおすすめのホテルだと思います。 I was impressed to stay at Hotel Moderna in a beautiful city of Cherbourg, having a good access to the harbor and the central area where we can find the good restaurants and historical scenery of the town. Hotel staff hospitality is so excellent with heart-full services. I can recommend tourists from all the countries to stay and feel ‘Cherbourg’ hospitality at this hotel.

ホテルの場所は駅からも繁華街・市場・レストランにも近く、行動しやすいホテルでした。やや古さはあるものの、清潔感もありアットホームな感じがしました。かつてカトリーヌドヌーブも映画撮影の際に６ヶ月このホテルに滞在したそうです。また是非泊まりたいホテルです。

A very clean hotel, close to the Metro and all tourist attractions

I wish I could have stayed longer. Super cute room. Nice & friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend the Hotel Moderna

Séjour très désagréable à l'hôtel Moderna. Pas de parking et chambre au troisième. Personne pour vous aider à porter les bagages (j'avais trois bagages dont une valise la personne de l'accueil m'a regardé monté sans aucune remarque). Salle de bain très vieillote, lunette des WC à moitié défaire...

Cheap hotel for an overnight stay. Needs a bit of modernisation ironically given the name! Lots of mould in the bathroom. Wouldn't want to stay again.

Pas d’incident majeur, mais globalement en dessous des standards de l’hôtellerie pour un 3*, autant pour l’aménagement du lieu que le service du personnel. Peu fidèle à la description : un accès aux chambres extérieur façon motel américain où les fenêtres donnent sur une coursive. Propreté impeccable, à part un cendrier avec un mégo sous ma fenêtre.

Lovely overnight stay. Small room and en-suite but fine for one night. Good buffet breakfast had everything we needed. Good location for bars, shops and restaurants but not noisy. We didn’t have a car, but the public car park was 5 minutes away. We will stay there again.

The room was very small but clean. The surrounding area was undergoing major upgrade to the walkways etc.

nice hotel that is well situated, there is paid or free parking nearby, the staff were friendly and the room was good.

Hotel advertises free parking But when you get there you discover its a car park that is down the road and around a corner, that is only free after a certain time and if you get there after this time, you have very little hope if finding any parking.

Très bon accueil, hôtel bien placé dans le centre ville Chambre assez petite, salle de bain très petite , cabine de douche exiguë avec variation de température inopinée… Insonorisation moyenne (planchers bois) Petit déjeuner très bon et varié

Très bien dans l’ensemble, dommage que Cherbourg soit un chantier à ciel ouvert en ce moment.

The room had been renovated beautifully. Fully rewired with usb charging points and a plethora of lighting options. The bed was very comfortable with a bolster, two pillows and a decorative cushion per person, the most pillows we've ever encountered in France! Despite Cherbourg undergoing significant utility and road revamping, it made little impact in the hotel. Free parking was easily available within a few minutes walk 😀

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und ein kostenloser Parkplatz ist nur 1 Straße weiter. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und hübsch renoviert.

Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter Cherbourg à pieds. Places de parking gratuites à proximité. Hôtel très propre (y compris chambre et sdb). Et personnels très sympathiques.

Really enjoyed the stay here. Walking distance to all the shops and cafes my only gripe was the noise from the sea gulls at two in the morning but once asleep you asleep oh and the bed was so comfy

Comfortable rooms, could be air conditioned for warm nights. Showers are way too small.
