Service and room overall was good. However the toilet seat in our room was broken and it was very hot making it difficult to sleep which was a shame as the bed was so comfy! A fan in the room would have made a big difference. Breakfast was fabulous. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

This is such a wonderfully old and beautiful pub, with restaurant and great rooms. The few rooms they have are all named so you know which room you will be getting when you book. We had the Gold Room and it was so lovely! A lady behind the bar greeted us and showed us to our room. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant menu looked amazing but we.had promised ourselves fish and chips on the beach. The beach was a few minutes walk from the The Ship Inn so it was a perfect evening. In the morning, when we came down to breakfast, we were greeted by the chef who took our cooked breakfast order. He was very chatty and helpful. We definitely intend to visit again!

Comfortable stay .nice staff

We were delighted with our stay at The Ship Inn, right from the warm welcome to someone checking whether we'd left something behind. The building has lovely windows, with light and views coming in from all angles. The food was delicious, and we were particularly pleased to have a small bottle of real milk in our room.

The staff were very polite and helpful. Dinner and breakfast was great. Accomodation was well planned and clean and tidy. Parking was really easy and suitable. Very good location close to beach giving plenty of opportunity to have walks. Safe area.

Everything was fine

We had a 2 night stay in the Four Poster Room. The room was lovely and spacious with the bathroom upstairs. All the staff we came across were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were given the option to put any food and drink purchased at the bar and restaurant and pay for everything at the end of our stay. We will definitely stay again.

The location was ideal for me

The Ship was very clean, my room was spotless. The only thing that could be improved was the bed, I think the mattress could have been better. I would recommend The Ship to friends.

We had a lovely stay to celebrate a birthday. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant which was delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast the next morning was also great. Service was top notch throughout!

Lovely little inn - about a five minute walk from the beach. Will happily return

The room was beautiful and very clean but exceptionally hot even though a fan was provided. Felt the bathroom needed more shelving for storage. Also the wardrobe only had 2 hangers to hang clothes on which did not worry us as we were only staying a few days but would have been a problem if we were staying longer. Overall a very pleasant experience and lovely accommodation. The staff were all very friendly and helpful would recommend this accommodation

Lovely big room, friendly staff, tasty meal and decent breakfast. Slight down points - the view was of a car park and disused building (but not much can be done about that) and the bed was wobbly and squeaky, with the mattress sloping on one side. The staff were quick to note this and said it would be sorted promptly. Overall, this didn’t detract from what was a lovely night in a pretty seaside village.

The staff were the epitome of friendliness, always ready to assist with a smile. I left with fond memories and look forward to returning to The Ship Inn for another wonderful experience.

We visit friends in the new Romney area and came across this booking by mistake Only it turned out to be a very good mistake & will be returning on our visits going forward 😍 Lovely staff & the Breakfast was delicious
