Wondering experience to stay at the great hotel. Staffs are all sophisticated, friendly and kind. I stayed one night at the cottage suite room near the gate. The upper floor is the living room with panoramic view and the lower level is the bathroom and the bedroom. L’OCCITANE amenity set in the bathroom is good and NESPRESSO coffee settled in the living room is my favorite. 4 kinds of flavored tea bags and decaf coffee packs are also prepared with Christmas biscuits. Interior decoration matches to the atmosphere of this castle with long history. We con see armors and swords in various corner. Dinner at the dining hall is fantastic and all dishes are delicious. Breakfast is also good. We enjoyed meal at the lobby too. Near the castle, there is a small quiet village and an old church. Really want to come back in the summer next time.

The sight was splendid, the food was not so bad, but somewhat lack of enough hospitality considering it is a 5 star hotel and a member of Relais & Châteaux. Maybe it was an English country side style.

Beautiful rooms, beautiful grounds, staff was extremely friendly. Only downside was the service at all the meals was extremely disappointing. Unattententive, forgetful, and had to ask for drinks, food items, etc. 2 or 3 times on multiple occasions.

Beautiful hotel. Lovely room. Excellent included breakfast. The only negative was no WiFi. They said they had it but we could never get it so we had trouble contacting our families. We told them about it and they said they woukd fix it but never happened. Otherwise lovely stay.

This is a real castle, though the part that's occupied is not nearly as old as the original part, and it's been made into a luxurious hotel. There aren't many rooms, so it's quiet. The five-course dinner was one of the best meals we've ever enjoyed, and it was served expertly. Unfortunately we had to leave too early to partake of their breakfast, which was bound to be superb.

Pleasant Staff

The rooms need some updated decor and someone to automatically bring milk and coffee refills etc rather than having to ask for it - we are the guests after all. No room service during our 2 night stay which I would also expect for the price. The dining room staff could be more attentive for evening service, and perhaps give more recommendations and advice on the a la carte menu and what to choose. Additionally, someone to greet you at the door of the restaurant rather than leaving you standing around not being sure to just take a seat yourself or not. The whole place has an odd atmosphere to it, and staff are possibly too discreet. Breakfasts were really nice though and it’s a nice little castle / village for a short wander. I’d spend close to 2k elsewhere in future though, and somewhere that has additional facilities - gym, pool etc.

Ivan was just brilliant at sorting out an issue. Cant praise him enough.

Wonderful stay at Amberley Castle, park on site, lovely staff, very friendly and helpful, food was very good, room lovely with a Dyson hairdryer and Nespresso coffee machine. Would definitely visit again
