The staff was super friendly and the Bar tender Tanja was a blast. We accidentally left something in the room and human resources were wonderful to deal with.

It was a great stay the only reason I didn’t give it a 5/5 was when I went to use the complimentary soaps ect as I had forgotten my hand lotion was that the lotion and mouthwash had already been opened before we got there. Yes I know that if I had let front desk know they would have immediately replaced everything. But it does affect your stay

Always a clean convenient comfortable place to stay. I was lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a nicer room. Bed was super comfortable and the shower was amazing. I’ll definitely be back.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room was a bit pricey at over $200 per night, and honestly, I expected a bit more. The deluxe suite had minimal amenities—just an old coffee machine to get hot water for tea, and no water was provided. The Jacuzzi bathtub didn’t work anywhere in the hotel. It’s quite noisy since it’s on a busy main street, and it’s a bit far from the main attractions. Also, housekeeping knocked loudly early on a Saturday morning to bring towels I didn’t ask for, despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign. Overall, I don’t think I’d stay here again, even if the prices go down. It’s not quite what I was expecting, and I wouldn’t really recommend it.

Very retro look. One of a kind. Loved it.

It was just okay. The disabled parking was not adequate and people used it without a placard. Also a semi was parked and at times it used two spaces.

Great place

The front desk persons were always helpful, especially getting me water and ice; never gone to a hotel where getting water was so difficult, none even in the room fridge. The elevator makes you feel very fat, it creaks and moans every time you use it, makes you wonder when they’ve had it last serviced. The restaurant was constantly closed and lights off do to not enough business or staff. It always amazes me when businesses blame economy for bad times but, at the same time, how is it Cactus Club is booming and hard to get a reservation? The hotel looks like something that once was but is no more. The pictures online are not anything like the real experience. Definitely paying the higher dollar for the Best Western near Superstore. Also, the bed headboard is too high and your pillow gets jammed in the space; had to jam another pillow in the space to make it somewhat work for me. The plug behind the mattress is at the right night to push the plug out, to only find out in the morning that none of your stuff charged.

Suzanna fue de gran ayuda durante nuestro check-in en el hotel. Tenía una sonrisa encantadora y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar. Además, hablaba mi segundo idioma y venía del mismo país. No me importaría volver a alojarme aquí. Estoy deseando mi próxima estancia. El hotel también está cerca de un centro comercial y de McDonald’s y Fatburger.

Visit was delightful

Lovely suite, friendly staff and awesome whiskey bar. Will stay again for sure unless prices increase dramatically. Best hotel in Nanaimo. Also good area. Downtown Nanaimo is unsafe now. This area is quiet and safe. Longwood Brew Pub and Browns social house nearby among many other amenities and grocery store etc. Only negatives, Jacuzzi dead and no breakfast.

Great place easy to get to

I thought the bed was too soft, my husband's side was too hard. The pillows are smaller but firm. Everything is great, you have to get your ice from the front desk. Room was clean, quite happy with the hotel .

It’s what you would expect for the price I guess. Room a little smelly. Not too well ventilated. Quite outdated. Staff friendly and efficient. We didn’t use the restaurant or bar.

The staff is always so very accommodating.
