We stayed overnight in room 14 the room itself was pleasant enough with a lovely sea view . On retiring to bed we had a disturbed sleep as the mattress didn't fit the bed and the bed itself wasn't a double but seemed to be 2 singles pushed together. The next morning we thought we'd use the coffee machine in the room but we were unable to get this to work and no instructions were available. On going down for breakfast the cereal fruit and juice selection was good and the coffee was amazing 👏. A polite young lad took our order and offered white or brown toast he also said sour dough was available which I duly ordered along with the cornish breakfast. 25 minutes later no cornish breakfast although guests arriving after us had been served. When the food finally turned up it was tasty although the bacon was smoked which was fine by me but some people may not like it.The toast and sour dough never made an appearance and we also noticed other guests food was incorrect. A shame as the food itself was tasty

Well located and quiet. Very well furnished and very clean. Good value for a single room so would be pleased to stay again.

Needed somewhere nice to stay overnight after a long night out- really pleasantly surprised by the sophisticated decoration of the room! Gorgeous colour scheme and lots of pillows. Nice big bright windows. Spacious, nice TV, big bed with an extra bed and sofa. Lots of tea and coffee and complimentary mint chocolate :) very lovely big bathtub and seperate shower which I appreciated. Staff were helpful and accomodating while I was a tad late for breakfast. Quick service and nice food, felt very homely and comfortable :)

Dog friendly & the staff are all amazing. Great choice of breakfast options. The room was clean & loved the biscuits each day. Small fridge in the room which was handy & a coffee maker which I didn’t need as they had great coffee at breakfast. Really close to the beach & some lovely walks with the dog close by. The town isn’t too far to walk either. Would definitely stay again

The property was in a great location - 10 mins walk into town and 10 mins walk to Gylly Beach. The hotel could be great but needs attention to detail.

The staff were extremely accomodating and helpful. The room was clean with plenty of coffee making options.

Warm welcome, lovely room with sea view, good breakfast freshly cooked to order, convenient for station and town and very clean and tidy. Even randomly met the owners in a harbourside pub - their son runs the hotel and is the breakfast chef . Truly a lovely family business.

Every thing was just right as it was on my last stay.

All good. Needed a convenient stop for my walk on the South West Coast Path and this fitted the brief by being good value, quiet and walkable.

Everything else was very good but evidence of black mold on ceiling of 2 bathrooms- needs attention

The hotel is in dire need of some TLC. The decor and furnishings are worn and not at all like the photos. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was very good.
