エレベーターはなく、スタッフもドイツ語、英語どちらもコミュニケーションが難しいスタッフがおり、バイロイトの名門ホテルという事で新婚旅行で行ったが少し残念だった。 部屋もスイートを取ったが、水回りの故障で別の部屋を案内され、クーラーや冷蔵庫もなく寝不足気味だった

Dejligt stort og velmøbleret værelse, der tager hensyn til bygningens alder og historie. Dog var det irriterende, at brusebad skulle tages stående i et badekar, der var glat med risiko for fald. Badeværelset var ellers stort og velfungerende. Morgenmad blev serveret ved bordet efter bestilling. Betjeningen var sød og effektiv. Parkering kan ske i hotellets garage (bestil plads i forvejen) til en rimelig pris. Beliggenheden er helt central og alle seværdigheder er i gåafstand.

The hotel is charming, impeccably managed, and serves an excellent breakfast. The staff are courteous and attentive, going out of their way to accommodate guests’ needs. One employee in particular, Sebastian, displayed a remarkable gift for customer relations. Staying at this hotel makes one feel part of the Wagnerian mirage, as though mingling with figures from the world of great music. Located just steps from the Wagner Museum and the Margravial Opera House, and within comfortable walking distance of the Bayreuth Festspielhaus, Goldener Anker is a must for both the seasoned traveler and the newcomer. Highly recommended.

As always, a pleasure to stay at this unique and historic place. It has an authentic charm and atmosphere. Wonderful and gracious staff!

Lovely hotel, lovely staff and wonderful breakfast. Such a cool historical hotel! I really enjoyed the three nights I stayed here. Fantastic location for sight seeing too.

Great old hotel, come experience a unique 300 year old structure, fully modernized with all the comforts. Restaurant was closed for dinner but breakfast wonderful, fresh cooked eggs, bread local jams and honey.

The lack of conveniences can be excused in a 265 year continuously operated family hotel of charm and character. In trudging up the slanting stairs remember that Arturo Toscanini and Richard Wagner made the same trip heard the same squeaks and squeals and be grateful to be in the same space. Another rare bonus is that a seated full breakfast is included.

The service was very friendly and helpful. The location is great, next to the Opera House. The old part of the hotel was charming and I imagine the rooms were very nice. The room I was given was in the newer section and very bland and not very comfortable. It was not consistent with the pictures shown when I booked here. I was not happy with the value and would not go back.

Wurderschönes Hotel. Zimmer etwas klein, aber sehr funktional und gemütlich. Kein Aufzug, d.h. Kofferschleppen. Frühstück a la Card.
