Good

It was very beautiful and comfortable to stay there. The jacuzzi was also wonderful. The food was delicious. I would recommend this hotel in Banff.

The Otter Hotel was just okay. Based on the photos, I expected a more upscale experience, but it felt more like a budget hotel. The elevator to our building was out of service for most of our stay, forcing us to carry luggage up and down three flights of stairs. Housekeeping was disappointing. The room didn't feel very clean, the shower head looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, the sofa appeared worn, and trash was left in our room instead of being emptied. The beds were also very hard and not particularly comfortable. The location is good, but overall I wasn't impressed and would choose a different hotel if I return to Banff.

Absolutely superb hotel! From the lovely reception staff (Will) who greeted us, to the great, spotlessly clean room, facilities and communal areas. All staff so friendly and helpful. There are lovely touches that make the experience great and personal, such as providing you coffee/tea of your choice for the morning, and providing tickets to use the bus to get into the main area of town if you don’t want to walk. Would absolutely recommend this hotel and I hope we can stay here again some day. A real treat, thank you!

The otter was a very nice quiet and comfortable property. It’s close enough to downtown area and far away enough from the crowds. The convenient bus pass they give you is a nice perk, quick bus ride without car hassles. The hot tub was fabulous and I slept like a rock in the bed which I found very comfortable. I also liked the tea kettle and slightly larger frig in the room. The breakfast in the restaurant was really good. I’m glad I chose the otter.

Everything was perfect. The hotel was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly, and the pool had an amazing view. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a very enjoyable stay overall. The restaurant staff were particularly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit, which made dining a real highlight. The food was also delightful, with a great selection and excellent quality. We especially appreciated the hot tub and outdoor fire pits, which provided a relaxing atmosphere and were a fantastic addition to the experience. The complimentary shuttle pass into town was also very useful and added extra convenience during our stay. While the check-in staff could have been more friendly and attentive, this did not significantly detract from our overall experience. Despite this, we were very happy with our stay and would consider returning in the future.

Room is beautiful. Hot tub is incredible, with views of the mountains.

At first glance, it is a beautiful hotel at the edge of town. Then you are given a room which is so close to the room in the next building, for example A to B, across from it that you could almost pass a cup of coffee from your balcony to their balcony, so there is no privacy at all in many of the rooms. Those rooms also have no view whatsoever. There is inadequate shelving for clothes storage or toiletry storage. And the worst thing is that there is no soundproofing. We could hear every word that individuals said in the hallway, including before seven in the morning and after 10 in the evening. I really could not recommend staying at this hotel.

Nice hot tubs! Don’t get a room at the back on the lower level. Feels like you’re in a basement. The restaurant was good but very expensive. Better options in town. Bit if a qalk to downtown.

Wonderful night at the hotel. Friendly staff. Great hot tub and sauna with the view. I recommend.

The mattress pad made a lot of noise!

Very nice hotel with spacious bedrooms and convenient location to downtown Banff. Staff was cordial and helpful. Rooms and amenities were clean. The only minor inconvenience was that one of the pools and both hot tubs were closed for maintenance during our stay. Given that this outdoor amenity with its fantastic view is one of the major selling points, this was an inconvenience because there were quite a few people in the remaining pools. Other than this, we had an amazing stay and wouldn’t hesitate recommending this location.
