With its rows of pastel-hued houses and wooden balconies, it's like a small slice of Lisbon washed up in India. Otherwise known as ‘Fontainhas,' the Latin Quarter is a testament to the cultural heritage of Goa. Look out for the Portuguese influences adorning historic buildings such as azulejo tiles and ornate windows.Next, it's time to visit Old Goa. Enter via Vasco de Gama's impressive Viceroy's Arch to discover the sacred relics at the Basilica of Bom Jesus, before moving on to the Se Cathedral to see its golden bell – the largest in Asia. In the afternoon, we'll visit a Hindu temple and a spice plantation. With a tour of the estate, you'll learn all there is to know about what they produce and enjoy a brew of its famous spiced tea.
