Visit the village of Bo Sang for an up-close look at the traditional process of producing colourful umbrellas. You're going to see how the locals create 'saa' paper from mulberry trees and how they turn it into masterpieces. Before returning to Chiang Mai, drop by other handicraft workshops along Sankampaeng Road to learn more about the industries of silk and cotton weaving, lacquerware, silverware, teak wood furniture carving, gems and jewellery, ceramics, and pottery.
