— What You Can Expect —
Start your tour with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or Hanoi Opera House, then depart for Bat Trang Village, located on the outskirts of Hanoi and famous for its high-quality ceramics and pottery production. Situated along the banks of the Red River with access to an abundant supply of raw ingredients such as clay and glaze, Bat Trang has been the center of ceramics production in Vietnam since the 14th century.
Upon your arrival, spend your time exploring the narrow streets lined with ceramic stores and workshops. There are many different types of products for sale, including bowls, vases, plates, teapots, and figurines. Most of them are decorated with intricate patterns and designs, and some are even hand-painted. In addition to shopping, participate in a ceramic-making workshop, led and guided by a skilled artisan. Create your own ceramic piece, which can be taken home as a souvenir.
Once you're done exploring Bat Trang, make your way back to Hanoi, where it's time to put on the Ao Dai, Vietnam's national costume and a striking symbol of beauty and elegance. Dressed in your Ao Dai, enjoy your first professional photography session at Sword Lake, also known as Hoan Kiem Lake and famous for The Huc Bridge, a traditional Vietnamese-style bridge that leads to Ngoc Son temple, which sits on a small island in the lake. Guests may enter the temple at their own expense. The next spot is Phung Hung Mural Street, an attraction in the Old Quarter that features colorful murals depicting Hanoi's past and present. The beautiful paintings will make the perfect backdrop for your pictures, and if you have time, stroll around the Old Quarter for memorable photos!
