Couldn't even bring myself to stay there. Room was a sauna, staff unpleasant, amenities average... Waste of $80

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and modern. A shaving mirror in the men's bathroom would be helpful. Extra hooks in the bathrooms would be great. Very good value.

Very clean room bed was comfortable. Had aircon and smart tv. Bistro and pub downstairs for dinner options which was great

The room was clean and tidy.. it was not the room we booked but we were able to access the men's bathroom easily.

Check-in was a bit slow (took around 45 minutes), but once that was sorted, everything went smoothly. The room itself was clean, simple, and felt safe. Bathrooms were shared and separated by gender — I never had to wait for a shower or toilet, which was a plus. The only downsides were the sheer curtains letting in a fair bit of light at night and some traffic noise from the road, so it might not suit light sleepers. Otherwise, it was a comfortable stay overall, and I’d still rate it four stars for cleanliness, safety, and it was great value.

The room was clean and satisfactory for budget accommodation. The restaurant was very good. There was an inside restaurant and an outside undercover restaurant with outside bar and a large screen for watching sport and music played throughout the area. The staff were friendly and approachable and nothing was too much effort.

Very basic accommodation. No tea or coffee facilities in room. Shared bathroom was clean but no mirror for shaving etc. Pillows old and uncomfortable. Food was excellent but wait staff seemed uninterested in giving service.

Lovely stay, your average pub accomodation. The shared bathrooms are clean and well kept. The only thing we didn’t love was that the bin in the room was small so we needed to find a bin outside to get rid of our rubbish. Other then that we loved it!

Best hotel in Cessnock!

We were after a cheap but cheerful hotel for the night as we were attending an event early in the morning. The Bellbird Hotel was just that. Excellent place to stay. we will return.

Pub bistro and meals were great - bathroom new - but room musty and balcony unsafe with filthy stained carper rug

Stayed at Bellbird for one night in an ensuite room. Very spacious both bedroom and ensuite which was newly renovated. Split air-conditioning plus ceiling fan. No coffee or tea facilities.We arrived as they were replacing old mattressess for new. Daughter stayed in shared bathroom which was also recently renovated.

I got locked out of the property after going for a coffee at 6am. Despite having a tag attached to my key, it would not allow me in. I had to wait for a cleaner to come at 9am to gain access back to my room. This is the reason for my low rating.

Dirty dusty rooms, thin mattress, broken bed base, hair on sheets, dirty blankets, no fire escape...clean towels& bathroom tho
