THE TV RECEPTION AND INTERNET WERE BASICALLY NOT FUNCTIONAL.

Lovely room. Spacious and well appointed. Welcome gift was a pleasant surprise. Bathroom has modern facilities but maintains vintage appeal

Hotel is heritage listed building and is exquisitely decorated with antiques and decor true to its era. We were looking for a place to stay for a family celebration, where we could have dinner and stay the night without travelling anywhere and booked elenors restaurant as well as 4 rooms. Two weeks before our stay they closed the restaurant and cancelled our booking, which meant we had to drive to a nearby restaurant for dinner. It was disappointing and no real reason was given. It took 2 phone calls (via AI answering service) to find out any information. We found the whole hotel is very light on for staff, the pool is in total disrepair which lead us to believe there are budget issues and cost cutting. The rooms are very large and lovely but the air-conditioning is not fit for purpose. We slept with the balcony doors open at night to cool the room down and it was below 30.degrees during the day. Overall it's a lovely historic property but in need of some TLC and additional real life (not AI) staff.

Great property. Nice rustic feel

We were married at Chateau Yering 25 years ago and return regularly for a night's stay, which is always a delight. We love the rooms and the breakfast at Sweetwater Cafe, as well as the attentive staff. We always enjoy a game of backgammon in the Library too, but this time we couldn't get a drink at the bar at 7:30 pm as there were no staff onsite.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room clean and suite was spacious. Close to winery we we going to.

I was disappointed with my stay because several details listed about the hotel were inaccurate. There is no airport shuttle service, and lunch is not provided, contrary to what was advertised. The room itself also needs attention. The sofas and bed are outdated and should be repaired or replaced. The air conditioner in my room was not functioning properly, which made the stay uncomfortable. That said, I would like to acknowledge the dining room staff. They were very kind, attentive, and clearly trying their best despite the limitations. I truly appreciated their effort.

Beautifully presented. We had some issues with our spa bath though, which was the main reason we went with the room we did.

Everything was lovely and clean and staff, especially in Sweetwater Cafe, were all very friendly and welcoming.

I had a lovely stay at Chateau Yering Hotel. A warm welcome from Annie at Reception, a spotless and lovely room, very friendly and helpful house-keeping staff, and Jennifer in the Sweetwater Cafe makes an excellent coffee. I think Eleonore's Restaurant is at present only open for dinner on Wednesday evenings but plenty of restaurants not far away in Lilydale, and Yarra Glen township is only about 5 minutes from Chateau Yering. For lunch there is the Yering Station restaurant right next door to Chateau Yering. Highly recommended.

Service virtually non existent; cheap tea bags in rm; pool empty with mould growing… v disappointing
