Kitchen could have been better equipped. More Towels in the bathroom. Light wasn't working in the living room. Recycling area was locked .

Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. The room was run-down, poorly maintained, and not properly cleaned. Presentation felt uncaring, and there was no Wi-Fi and definitely no charm. The pool was grubby, and the gym had an overpowering chemical smell. The property was nothing like the photos. It’s such a shame because, with a little care, attention, and modest investment, this place could be excellent. Sadly, I would not stay here again.

Pros: Unit was lovely & spacious & the kitchen had everything we needed. The reading books were a good idea. The pool on the top floor of the parking building had great views of the city & the lady on reception was friendly & helpful. Cons: The beds were only made up with sheets. When we pulled the doona out of the cupboard in the main room it was dirty. The 2nd room had been split into 2 beds but there was only 1 Q size doona in the cupboard so we had no blanket for the 2nd bed. It was handy having secure parking but getting to and from the car park in the neighbouring building was somewhat tedious - not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Overall we would recommend The Dalgety Apartments but hope they provide clean doonas/blankets for the next guests.

We arrived late Sunday afternoon so no staff on site but the instructions to gain entry were clear so no issue. Allocated parking so great to not have to hunt for a vacant spot. Room looked great at first sight but when we went to close the curtains that's when it all fell apart. The blinds in the bedroom were in a channel that should have completely darkened the room. Clearly previous guests have not taken care when opening them as they no longer straight, so when pulled down they were out of the channel and didn't cover the window. No maintenance. Ok, let's go to the main living area and close those curtains. What curtains?!! there were NO CURTAINS in the main living area. I'm not sure if they were catering to exhibitionists but we were not them! Nothing we could do for that night so first thing in the morning we contacted Reception to see if we could change rooms. No - fully booked. Staying in a room for a full week with zero privacy was not acceptable so the lovely Receptionist said she would talk to the owner. Owner told her to "give 'em a refund and tell them to find somewhere else". Luckily, we were able to find alternative accommodation in, as it turns out, a much nicer part of town. If you find yourself allocated room 103 (or 102 - owned by same person) - RUN!!! The only good thing about this experience was Nikki, the lovely lady at Reception!

Clean, modern and spacious apartment Only downside is parking at different building to apartment with internal access, so may need to take 2-lift trips from car to door.

Parking a car requires a 2 elevators, and walk down some corridors to get to your room. Shower has clearly visible mould in it, toilet took forever to refill due to it leaking from the cistern. Blind in bedroom was broken, rope was hanging down causing a choking hazard for our 18 month old son. Called reception and she said the maintenance man was out but she’d get him onto it when he returned. Never heard from her or him again. Dirty cutlery. Smelly hallway. Look elsewhere.

The room was immaculate, staff were very friendly and very helpful.

Clean and in good location Smelled a little like old people

The property manager Sonia was brilliant. She made contact with us ensuring we knew about hours and our accommodation. We had no car, and were able to leave our bags until our room was available due to our early arrival and was equally accommodating on having to leave. Our unit was within walking distance to many things - Castle Hill, Magnetic Island Ferry, museums and restaurants.

Amazing property and amenities. Close to all main areas in the townsville region. Apartments itself, was beautifully furnished and well looked after.

Nice apartment and great little pool on the roof which was suitable for young kids. Everything felt clean and modern. Parking was a bit of a faff as we had to drive to the top of a parking lot, go down to another level, cross a bridge then go back up again. Could have done with some extra basic things like toilet roll and dish washing liquid.

Location is ideal to everything

A nice location in a convenient area close to the CBD and Strand. However the bedrooms had a bad smell. There was also no wifi which should be standard these days. We stayed for 2 weeks which fell on the Easter public holidays and there was no service for 10 days, which meant we had to wash our own towels and bed linen and also buy our own supplies like toilet paper, bin bags, dishwashing and laundry detergent because not one had come to replenish them, which is totally unacceptable considering the place was not cheap. All staff seemed nice and tried to help except for one lady who got super defensive and arrogant when asked about the service intervals. This is a good property in a good location with lots of potential. However due to zero management and the tight owners this place will never improve.
