크래들 마운틴 내 숙소로 입지가 탁월합니다. 국립공원 내 선택의 폭이 넓지 않은데 그 위치에 주방 딸린 숙소가 있다는 것에 감사했습니다. 청결도나 안락도는 보통~좋음 사이이구요. 꼭 해 떨어지기 전에 체크인 하세요. 전 막 해가 지도 눈발 흩날릴 무렵 체크인 했는데 (5시인가 6시 이루에는 리셉션 앞 박스에서 키가 들어있는 봉투를 셀프 픽업해서 그 안의 지도 보고 방을 찾아가야 함) 부지가 넓은데 제가 투숙할 집 번호가 이정표 내에 지워져 있어 헛갈렸어요. 저랑 비슷한 무렵 차가 세 대 정도 셀프 체크인했는데 다들 처로 꽤 부지를 돌았어요. 어둡고 눈이 와서 그랬던 것 같습니다.

The three types of heating was a bit complicated but we got the hang of it in the end

We stayed in a private 4 bed bunk room with 1 double and 2 bunk beds. The bedroom was small but fine for the 2 of us. The kitchen had everything we needed and was a great place to meet other guests. The shared shower and toilet facilities were clean and a good standard. My criticism is that the price was too high, approx double the price of other holiday chalet style accommodation we stayed in which had private facilities.

Clean and well equipped (standard) cabin. A bit cramped for a family of 4 but fine for two nights. Heating excellent. Walking distance ~400m to visitor centre and shuttles to craddle mountain.

Room was lovely and warm

Kitchen was fine for our use. We were grateful for the clothes airer that was in the cabin. The A/C was adequate to heat the cabin. It was difficult minimising wet floor in the bathroom as the shower curtain was a but short. Overall, good value for the standard of accommodation.

整體設備尚可，暖氣都足夠廁所空間細小。有兩張碌架床。勉強足夠六人。但會好擠逼。我們三人住就幾舒服。

It was perfect, spacious, very clean, beautiful clean large windows fitted with automatic block outs blinds and sheers for privacy during the day, fabulous comfortable king bed, standalone bath adjacent to huge window, underfloor heating and complete kitchen. Our welcome surprise was a bottle of bubbles, cheese, biscuits, fig paste etc. Whilst it was expensive, I think given its right on Cradle Mountain, the accommodation was superb. We felt indulged!

This was by far our worst experience in Tasmania, and also in all of Australia. We booked a standard cabin for $250 per night, though I am not sure whose “standard” it meets, certainly not ours. While the price matched our 5-star hotel in Hobart, we had obviously lowered expectations knowing Cradle Mountain accommodation is expensive. We arrived to a completely cold cabin, with no sign it had been heated. It was also very dirty: hairs and dirt on the floor, and cookware and cutlery had not been cleaned. Cobwebs many places in the ceiling and under the bed was all fuzzy and had old napkins laying there. The cabin itself was extremely dated and poorly maintained, with visible wear and water damage in multiple places. There was also no potable water, something not disclosed on Hotels.com or their website. A sign said to boil water from rainwater tap, but it contained visible dirt particles. Later that evening, we found a mouse inside the cabin. Very shocking! It left through a gap under the door (likely how it entered too), which we had to block with a towel. We raised these issues the next day, as reception was closed earlier, but only received a brief apology and no action. Overall, a very disappointing stay and far below expectations for the price.

The ad in lastminutes does not clearly state the amenities available. The room I book has nothing except a bed. It is not possible to survive the night without wondering in the dark for amenities. I have booked two rooms and cannot be refunded. Just wonder how can one know about the actual situation before arriving unless you have more info about the actual situation and connection with public amenities. It is the worst situation for older couples like us. We therefore tried to shop around the mountain for another better location and spend the night there. Still hope to get some refund anyway.

We had a modern deluxe 2 bed cabin which was very comfortable and quiet. Excellent location as very near to the visitor centre. There is a small shop at reception for some groceries, drinks etc which is very handy. I found the check in/out staff not overly friendly or welcoming, not sure why.

The dormitories needs more ventilation. The four bunk beds in one tiny room without enough ventilation kinda makes you suffocate. The amenities were all accessible and well maintained.

Clean Room/Friendly Staff/Walking distance to the Visitors Centre to get shuttle buses up to Dove Lake and other areas of cradle mountain.
