The room was spacious, but the amenities could have been better. The pub and bistro downstairs had good service.

The room doesn’t seem properly cleaned.

King Room was huge and very comfortable. Great value for money.

Cheap stay, amenities were clean, only downside was a stain on the bottom sheet, fans only could do with air cons in the rooms as on a hot day the room would be very hot, Staff were friendly Close to other places to eat if you don’t like the menu at the pub

The room and shared bathroom was very clean and looked recently renovated. The mattress was comfortable but BYO pillow as the pillows were very flat. Only one power point in the opposite corner of the bed - staff helpfully provided an extension cable. No bedside table. Clothes rack and sink in room. No air conditioning but thankfully the ceiling fan was sufficient that night. No tea/coffee making facilities. Noise from the pub was not an issue on a school night but some noise from the street and traffic lights. Rooms 4,5,6,7 and 8 are directly opposite to the shared bathrooms so get more noise from there. Convenient location close to the hospital.

Good clean environment. I would definitely recommend this property and stay here again when in Newcastle.

Needed a break from travelling.

The room was very basic but it was clean, tidy, and did the job very well. The room and bathroom were freshly renovated. The bedroom was quiet with minimal noise from the hotel downstairs.

Common toilet and bathroom not disclosed while booking. Do feel safe staying in this hotel.

Simple pub rooms. No TV, no bedside lamp, no fridge. Room 1 has an en suite inc a bath. Can be loud Fri and Sat nights with music playing downstairs. Very friendly service and good food at the pub.

Is what it says on the tin. Shared bathroom is cleaner than anywhere else I've stayed. Bed is really comfy. Price is very good. Very very convenient for John Hunter hospital.

I enjoyed how well the walls blocked noise especially from traffic of a morning and night

Good Room at right price

We arrived a day later than planned due to the storms. Upon being shown to our room, we were told about the painting that was occurring throughout our stay. Unfortunately due to medical reasons, we could not stay with the painting occurring. We asked for a refund and the staff were very kind and actioned this request. The refund was gratefully received 1 week later.

It was probably the worst motel we've ever stayed in. Loud music playing past midnight. The room smelt of vomit. The bed was squeaky and extremely uncomfortable. The pillows were too soft and felt empty. The sensor lights in the female bathroom and along the corridor did not work. So we had to use our phone light each time we go to the toilet. The room was big, but there was no mini fridge, no kettle nor tea/coffee provided. Very disappointing.

Check in was great. Greeting by bright bubbly staff who are super helpful. - Room overall was not up to hygiene standard. The cushions was dirty and digusting, with stains on them representing they hadnt cleaned. - The bed linin also had black stains on them and in them additionally there was a blood stain on the doona. - The bed itself was two single beds put together to make a larger one. The room was advertised as queen. Being the two singles together do make a queen this is not the impression of a queen size bed we had booked in mind. - Under the bed was disgusting. Clearly the two single beds havent been moved to clean under it. There was cut nails under the bed, loads of dust. - The curtains also had what looked like to be snot. All in all for needing a place to rest your head, it is okay. For hygiene purposes it did not feel like the cleanest place.

Great pub hotel, one of the best in Newcastle.
