I have stayed at this property many times before, to me a great quiet location, free street parking at night after 10pm easy, self contained room for easy meal options if you want to cook, but plenty of eating options at Collingwood and Richmond

Room was clean and quiet
Only issue is shower water went form hot to cold frequently, if you turned the handled you’d scorch yourself so step out and let it want back up..
From an educated guess stand point, if someone elsewhere flushed their toilet the water in the shower would change temp… just a hypothesis is all….
Plenty of hot water though, just extended time for cleaning….

We stayed 1 night due to closeness to Rod Laver and knew it was at the budget end of the market. Even so there are several issues. The receptionist was helpful, the airconditioning worked, the safe worked and the sheets were clean. However, the cups and cutlery were disgustingly dirty, the paint is peeling all over, the mirror surrounds were falling off, the mirror is loosing its silvering, the dust was piled thick, the tiles and soap dish have been painted but that is all peeling off. The bathroom window wouldn't close. The mattresses were worn out. The stair carpets are threadbear and a tripping hazard. The sponge/scourer to clean the cups was so full of grease it just made the cups greasy so I had to wash those with my hands. There is mound in the grout around the bathroom sink and in the shower grout. I have taken multiple photos to corroborate these comments.

The place is old with really old windows so in the morning you can hear everything which woke me up every morning. We had high winds that rattled the window.
I would love to come back to the place and see it renovated. The people running it was lovely. The location and price was awesome.
But would love to see some new carpets and a general re-decoration to bring it up to date because it has a lot of potential in a lovely quiet area near the mcg...
