Chris clearly strives to be a caring host, but we found his behavior at times intrusive and somewhat overbearing. Unfortunately, a minor incident occurred: a small bloodstain on a sheet due to a scratch during a hike in the Blue Mountains. The way he handled the situation with us felt condescending, including an unexpected request for a $30 cleaning fee. He asked us to “please to sit down to have 2 words with us,” which we found excessive, especially as respectful and considerate guests we were. Given the price paid, we were surprised by both his attitude and the overall standard of the accommodation, which does not align with expectations. The house could benefit from some modern updates to match the cost. That said, the location is excellent for exploring the Blue Mountains, with all cute shops around.

Secluded, quiet. Short distance to town centre. Heritage listed. Bed cumfy. Takes you back to the early century. Staff polite, informative.

We loved our stay. It's one of the most charming and cosy places I've ever stayed in, the vintage decor with the comorbidities makes everything even more special and comfortable. I'm very happy!

It was a prestigious place to stay. Old worl ambience. Warm fires to greet you, then to be greeted so warmly feeling like you’re being welcomed to a family homestead. I would recommend it overwhelmingly if you want a personal out of city lights place to stay..

We stayed here, whilst attending the Ultra Trail Australia (UTA) event in Katoomba. The owners were extremely accommodating, friendly and facilities kept to a very high standard.

The property was exellent in its apearance and dacor. I did think it was a bit overpriced especialy as I paid the highest rate expecting a corner Spa. Insteed we got a large bath Spa which was a bit cramped for two. Breakfast was great. gardens where great. My other dislike was the owner was a little bit overboard with rules and regulations which took away from the relaxing atmospher.

Liked everything except breakfast has no variety.Add things like vaked beens and sausages etc.Otherwise perfect.

IT WAS HOMELY AND WELCOMING. ITS IN A GREAT SPOT WITHIN EASY WALKING OF GOVETTS LEAP AND BLACKHEATH TOWNSHIP. THE ROOM WAS WARM AND COSY, THE SHOWER GOOD AND THE BED COMFY. ABOVE ALL ELSE THE HOSTS WERE ALWAYS HELPFULL AND ADDED TO THE OVERALL AMBIENCE OF THE HOME.

Liked everything about this place. Very relaxing and Chris could not have done anymore to make us feel at home

The house is beautifully presented and warm and cosy. The only small negative for me was that I thought that our room was a bit small.
