We had difficulties in booking this sccom through Wotif. The owners use an answering machine as a barrier. It is not checked very often. When contacted the hosts were pleasant and helpful. When we arrived we hsd been locked out by the hosts who were only contactable via answering machine. When we got in we discovered that our paid for breakfasts had been deleted in confusion with next weeks guests who did not want breakfast. The host was travelling in Japan and the other host knows nothing about the booking or what we had paid for. The accomodation was a 1950's house with original bathroom, no fly screens to keep out mosquitos and insects. The available spa was on the deck of the hosts house. Half the light bulbs did not work, hand soap in the bathroom did not work. Bedding was uncomfortable and the second bed -why we booked- had been put aside for the owners massage business. $600+for B&B with no breakfast in an old house with minimal comforts. The icing was the note by supposed previous guests describing the wonderful bacon and eggs, cheeses, breads and fruit for their visit. We got muesli, a bottle of milk, some bananas one peach and one plum scrounged from the owners kitchen when I asked where the breakfast was. Not much for three people for two breakfasts. The B&B appears to be run as a hobby rather than a proper business providing a quality service for the price charged.

It was an excellent experience for our children to be able to get close to the animal Sue keeps on her property. She was very patient with them and they asked me if we are coming back to Sue's place sometime soon even as we were driving out of the driveway!

Sue was an incredible host . She has a genuine interest in her guests and was able to offer a variety of suggestions, if required. I would like to use this peaceful hideaway as a regular haunt in the future.

peaceful,comfortable, beautiful, clean. the host kevin was so helpful, so kind and made our stay so memorable. i must say it was one of the best stays and whoever stays at this beautiful place will not be disappointed.

great hospitality from the owners. Breakfast was excellent and Sue just made the stay extra special by allowing the kids to interact with the animals on the property.

Wonderful peaceful and just lovely the hosts were great helping with extra travel information and took a real interest in our needs

I took the vacation to clear my head and relax. Le Petit Palais hit all the right spots! I was alone and never for a moment felt lonely. Sue and Kevin were wonderful hosts and made me feel very much at home but very well taken care of. The animals are all lovely. The trees, bushwalking and the millions of stars made my stay truly wonderful.

Very nice. Kids love feeding animals. We all enjoy the hot spa under the stars. We feel like we are visiting friends instead of staying in a hotel.
