The only issue was the room had french doors & no windows, so it was very stuffy on a hot humid night. And too much light due to no curtains.

2nd time visit and still as good and even better. Room was good and even though a 36 degree day was comfortable. Good bed and toiletries. Good service at bar and food. Very extensive menu and quality meals. Location best in town.

Clean room and amenities. Room was rather hot and could do with some air conditioning.

Great place for an overnight stay between Sydney and Brisbane

Without A/C the room was very breezy with the ceiling fan which was quiet. Common kitchen area & balconies were nice. A bit deceiving was the room ads-noticed it was a "shared bathroom" (which I would not have booked) then I saw a room that didn't have this description & I booked believing it has a bathroom. Please make every room clear. However, they were beautiful and clean (just redone). A lovely stay : )

Was reasonably close to the exit from Highway and in a quiet location near freshwater. I just wanted to get as far away from Brisbane as possible and closure of checking in at 10 pm suited me better.

Great country pub, in a beautiful country town. Only drawback was no air conditioning in the room we stayed in.

We stayed one night at this place. The room was simple but worth the money spent, offering great value. The bar and food options were a nice touch, making everything easy and convenient. While the bathrooms are shared, they were clean and well-maintained, so it wasn’t an issue. The room we stayed in was next to the balcony, where some guests were gathered, so there was a bit of noise even after 10 PM. Additionally, the balcony lights shone directly into our room through the window, which could be improved for better comfort. Overall, a good place for a short stay—comfortable.

Thankyou for our beautiful stay at your hotel over the christmas period. The room was comfortable and lovely, and the freshly updated bathrooms and amenties were fantastic. The food looked amazing and well priced. My only regret we couldn't stay longer. Beautiful main street and river to explore. Not far to Yamba for a beach swim.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable, easy access to rooms and ammenities were clean and functional. Location was central to town and provided a good spot to meet locally with others. Would recommend to singles, couples and groups.

Well maintained old pub but the refrigeration unit roared all night and the main road was noisy. Maybe they should have a quiet option!

The Maclean Hotel is full of old world charm and was a great location to stay in the middle of town and on the river front. Our room, a Standard Queen was clean, comfortable and very affordable over a long weekend. The shared bathrooms are thoroughly modern and very clean. A guest laundry, kitchen with a fridge and a small dining/ lounge is provided on the accommodation level which is upstairs over the hotel below. (NB there is no lift - not a problem for me but could be an issue for others). We dined in the hotel and the meals were affordable and delicious. Staff were courteous and very helpful. I have only have 2 suggestions- a bedside lamp and the addition of drapes to the window to reduce the early morning sun. I would strongly recommend a visit to the Maclean Hotel.
