Almost every night we couldn't sleep well because of creacking noise of some beds in the 8 bed dormitory and some rude noisy guests in the kitchen. But its housekeeping and Wifi condition were very good.

Mostly good and comfortable:). But there is one thing which was a matter for me. Creacking noise of beds bothered my sleep.

Decent and reasonably clean hostel. But soap didn’t get refilled in the shared bathroom. Staff isn’t the warmest either.

I stayed at Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse and overall had a pretty good experience, especially considering the location and atmosphere. The hostel is in a fantastic spot and just a 5–10 minute walk to the Salamanca Market, the waterfront pier area, grocery stores, and nearby art spaces. It’s super convenient if you want to explore Hobart on foot. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the stay more enjoyable. The kitchen is also very large and well set up, although it can get quite busy during peak hours. One thing to note is the bathroom situation. There are two full toilet-and-bathroom units, plus one extra toilet and two separate showers. However, during busy times (around 7–9am and 7–9pm), there can be a wait, especially with many guests staying on the second floor sharing these facilities. The room itself was clean, but the building is older, so don’t expect anything modern or newly renovated. Noise levels were generally acceptable, not too loud compared to other hostels. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a convenient and social place to stay in Hobart. Just be prepared for some waiting during peak bathroom and kitchen hours.

The staff were amazing, kind compassionate and considerate. I had a wonderful time there. The parking is ample, the rooms were comfortable.

Clean, very well run, lots of practical spaces, kinda a home away from home. Vibrant, mix of international and Aussie guests. Quiet, respectful.

Fabulous hostel, with a welcoming host (Antony) and great facilities. Dorm for four females was really lovely, and more than enough shared toilets / showers available. Crisp clean white bed linen and towels provided, with laundry service available. Fabulous area, easily walkable to Salamanca and Hobart city centre. Highly recommend!

Stedet var hyggeligt. Venligt personale. Fælleskøkkenet var fint og ryddeligt. Tæt på butikkerne, restauranter og havn. Godt sted til få nætter.

I liked my stay here because it was very central to Hobart centre of town. The room was perfect, the house runs like a well oiled Wheel.

Stayed in the Female only 8 person dorm and it was great! The property is clean, there are lots of communal spaces to meet people, and it is located in a lovely area near the water/some good restaurants and bars. The owner was friendly too.

Loved our stay here! The bunkhouse is so cute and people working there were so nice! The location is great and we really appreciated all the recommendations they provided us of places to check out near by.

Perfectly located amongst the quaint homes of Battery park and Salamanca place. Lovely views of Mt Wellington from the comfortable rear porch. Sharing bathroom was no problem as there were plenty.
