Friendly staff makes a big difference

We stayed two nights here, one on the way to our holiday and one on the way back. On the way there we stayed in our usual twin room, which has two double beds and a rollaway for Lala. It is cramped, but does the job. On the way back however, we opted for a family room, which was essentially twice the size, and had three beds, making for a far more comfortable night. We'll stay in that one for sure going forward, should we opt for this approach again. It was a perfect size for the five of us. On this first night, we had quite the experience. All was well, except there was no rollaway bed when we arrived at the room. Someone quickly rectified that, a fellow from Maintenance I think, rather than a housekeeper. Anyway, after he had left, we saw that the bed was not at all well made. Whilst trying to improve this, we noticed to our horror that there were fresh blood stains on the duvet! And not a drop or two, this was a lot of blood! Poor Lala was quite freaked out by this! So I went and found Housekeeping, and they quickly changed it, taking photos and being very apologetic the whole time. I do understand that this hotel is primarily a one-night stop for people, and has hundreds of rooms. So no doubt their Housekeeping staff are kept VERY busy, around the clock. But still, what this smacked of to me was a bed found that had been tucked away - no doubt because of the blood - and wheeled up to us without a second thought. Pretty poor really, for the price we paid.

Nice to be so close to the terminal

Perfect location after a long international flight or early morning departure. Comfortable bed and super shower. Easy access from terminals with minimal effort.

Overall this was an excellent stay. The staff were incredibly professional.

Incredibly smooth check in and check out process . Access to airport and facilities

Great location and staff were great. Didn't like being directed to a self check in kiosk when I was the only person there and 2 staff members were at reception. I am sure if there were a lot of people waiting it would be good, but felt cold. Also being woken at 7.30am by housekeeping staff entering my room without knocking and turning on the lights was mildly distressing. Even with these negatives the overall experience was good and I would stay again.

I love staying at the Park Royal, it's so convenient when I travel. Only complaint this time is the building work around the lifts which made it difficult to find reception. Hopefully this will be completed by the next time I travel.

Decent stay with a view you’re looking for a stay over right next to the airport!

Always a wonderful stay

Restaurant was over priced and they refused walk up guests. Food was average. Service was average

Stayed night before early flight. Assisted with electronic check in. And with ordering a boxed breakfast for early pick up. Room as expected immaculate. Coffee maker. Comfy bed pillows etc. Probably overpriced but really handy to just walk acryroad to airport

Quick check in and easy use with baggage trolley taken to room. Food and drink were OK but expensive

Great hotel, close to the terminal, the rooms are a good size and there was a bath tub if you need to relax before or after a flight.

Great hotel staff were helpful

The room was clean and quiet. Towels were plush. I did find the pillows very firm and over stuffed. I should have remembered this from last time. My check in experience was very fast. I do wish I had remembered to use my Discovery card at check in. I think staff should be trained to ask guests if they have one as well. Dining here is expensive and the menu is not as extensive as it was on my last stay 6 months ago. It also annoys me that when you pay for drinks when you order using a direct debit card you are charged an extra fee. This is essentially a cash payment but you are charged as if you are using a credit card. Food was reasonable. Check out was smooth

Only stayed one night after our flight was cancelled. Staff were great. Totally recommend the amazing buffet breakfast. The price was steep but comparable to others nearby and the convenience of the location could not be beaten :)
