Location great but the unit itself was run down in the outside areas and was dusty inside. Electrics short circuited and no extra blankets for beds. We were granted an early check-in which was great but tried to make contact over the weekend with phone calls and messages and received no reply.

Window dressings falling apart. Apartment was quite dirty and dusty. Location was great. No wifi was disappointing.
With more TLC it would be a great place to stay.

The location is great! Easy walk to the park, beach, shops and restaurants. We first stayed at Penguin Mews in 1990. Sadly nothing has changed. The units, outdoor area and gardens is in desperate need of some tender loving care and upgrade. We enjoyed our stay as we love Merimbula but I suggest put some nice finishing touches into the units to make it memorable. The bathroom needs replacing. It’s the original from the 80’s
There do not have a manned office so speaking to someone was a challenge.

Great spot for walking to the water, shops and cafe's, RSL and saphire club. Bit noisy on the saturday night being so close to town.
We had to request the single beds be made up for us as they had not been changed however which under any circumstance is not OK.

General shrubbery needs a good tidy up to improve parking access. TV does not pick up HD channels. Manager was not in attendance during posted times, and had to be phoned to release keys etc. No spare toilet rolls. Great view, and easy walking to shops, Club, and food outlets. Quite private. Ants were on almost all tables, kitchen benches, and bedside tables. TV remote in poor state.

Liked the location and views. We felt that the apartment needed to be updated as nothing had been done to it in a long time. The Refrigerator was in extremely poor condition.

The electric oven/stove broke down in the last 2 days of our stay. It was supposedly repaired after we reported the fault but it promptly broke down again. We were forced to abandoned cooking our own meals and ate outside. We had expected emergency repairs but that did not happen.

We stayed ground level as the stairs are ridiculously steep. Need to bring your own toilet paper, as there was just the one roll.
Furniture is very basic & not very comfy.
Location is awesome, walking distance to everywhere. 1 minute to RSL club. Unit was nice & clean& quiet.

Bed was extremely uncomfortable, but the rest was great. Great location, Beautiful view. Older bathroom but it was immaculate. The stairs may be an issue for someone less mobile but we didn't have any problems with that. We had a fantastic stay in Merimbula!

Nice people running this place . Great location but in need of an update .basic but comfortable . Clean . Washing machine in the unit but needed a dryer ,especially in the winter months to wash and dry towels as they were not changed over an 8 day stay.
