The cottage was gorgeous and clean. We loved staying there

We stayed here recently and while the room itself was beautiful and set in a stunning area, unfortunately our experience was let down by a few issues. There were constant insects throughout our stay, including a large number of ants crawling in the room and even in the bed, which made it very uncomfortable and difficult to sleep at night. The sink tap was also extremely loose, and the shower had no door or proper screen, meaning the entire bathroom flooded every time we showered. That said, the room was genuinely gorgeous and well-equipped with lots of amenities, and the surrounding area was lovely. It had so much potential, but these issues really impacted our overall comfort and experience.

Perfect quiet getaway. Large, clean accommodation near wineries and great restaurants. Kangaroos in adjacent paddock was an unexpected bonus to the experience.

The whole cottage was spotless, beautifully decorated, excellent location. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be coming back. Have shared the link to the website to all my family and friends. What a GORGEOUS place!!

Fantastic stay.

It was good

While the location and general setup were fine, I was quite disappointed with several aspects of our stay. The sink was clogged for the duration of our visit, and both the room and outdoor area were not as clean as expected. I ended up tidying the space myself to make it comfortable. Additionally, my partner and I stayed for three nights but only received one towel each. Although we were eventually able to access additional towels from a storage room, this wasn’t a great experience. The amenities listed online didn’t align with what we received. For instance, the “luxury linen” and “vanity kits” described were not provided, and overall the room quality did not reflect what was advertised. The shower also lacked a door, causing the bathroom floor to flood each time we used it. I have images documenting the cleanliness issues and would be happy to share them if helpful. I wanted to bring this to your attention as I believe there’s an opportunity to improve the guest experience for future visitors.

Cupboards dusty, broken tv, took 24 hours to reply to queries, very inflexible

A beautifully presented and special property with everything you could need under one roof. Host Bree was excellent, very approachable and responsive.

Close to many of the major wineries, accommodation was very clean and tidy and felt newly renovated.

The Pokolbin Farm Stay is a peaceful, relaxing retreat and a wonderful alternative to staying at a hotel. It was beautifully set up with everything we needed for a couple of nights; kettle, toaster etc. I would 100% recommend it and can't wait for the next opportunity to stay there.

It was a great relaxing place to stay. Everything we needed to use a base whilst attending a concert and having time away together.

Room was full of mosquitoes, bathroom sink wouldn't drain, bed was very uncomfortable... location was good.

We stayed for two nights while visiting Hunter valley. The location is good, with Brokenwood wines and Roche estate a 5 minute drive away. You can get Ubers but need to wait around 15 minutes for the to arrive. We stayed in the Milk Shed which was great, really well decorated, bathroom was nice, we had good views over a pond with ducks and the vineyards in the background. If you do not like nature this may not be best for you as there are a lot of wild birds gather by the pond, we liked the setting. The only thing to be aware of is that the kitchen does not have an oven so don’t go buying pizzas to cook back at the apartment, otherwise it had everything else, toaster, hob top, microwave, kettle and Nespresso machine. We are glad we stayed here.
