We had a fabulous stay at Spicers Balfour that lived up to all our expectations of what we have experienced at any of the 3 other Spicers hotels we've stayed in. This one takes the boutique and personal service level up to the next level, with all the staff we dealt with being helpful, easy to deal with, and friendly, ensuring we had a very lovely time there. The room was as shown on the website and although on the slightly small side had everything we needed. The gorgeous little rooftop bar is really special with its beautiful sunset outlook over New Farm & the Story Bridge. The restaurant provided a 5-star meal in a relaxed setting with beautiful, personal service from the waitstaff. The location makes it a park your car and walk/public transport your way to so many entertainment options in the vicinity. Highly recommend the Balfour—we were there for an anniversary "staycation" and it was perfect, and only 15 mins from home.

From the minute you walk in the welcome from all the staff is genuine, friendly and professional. The property itself has a lovely cosy laid back vibe and you’d never know it was a short walk from all the best entertainment that Brisbane has to offer. If you’re looking for the perfect venue for a romantic weekend break this is it. We will definitely be going back.

A delightful blend of a new and modern hotel with an old traditional Queenslander house. The staff are fantastic and you are an easy walk to the very active New Farm riverside area.

This boutique hotel is divine, premium, fun convenient location out of the city but a walk to James St, New Farm Park and everything in the Valley. Service is personalised, rooms a gorgeous, breakfast is of the highest quality and bar area is beautiful if you’re enjoying a romantic getaway or business meeting. Can’t fault this place.

Unfortunately my power to the room tripped around 9.30 pm which made it hard to see and work. The staff tried to help in the morning but the power kept tripping.

Minor issues. Vanity didn’t drain well. Musty smell in unit until aired out. We were challenged re taking unreserved seating at breakfast even as we had 4 rooms and breakfasts included. Admittedly it was Father’s Day but advance notice would have helped. Challenging guests is unprofessional. We travel extensively using 1class accommodation worldwide. At home the service could have been sharper. However overall this was an enjoyable time for us as we hosted our daughter’s wedding at Spicers and it was an amazing success. Just minor grievances.
