Quite old-style hotel with some tradition but very convenient location for business. Really good.

Apart from very slow check-in our first time stay at the Stanford was lovely great location close to mcg Building works close by were noisy in the morning but pool was AMAZING!!!!!!

Have come to expect later and later check-in times at hotels so they should expect a rush at 3pm. Check-in was a nightmare - guests queued to the door. Staff standing around looking important but not doing the important work of getting people to their rooms. Reception asked if I’d travelled far for my stay and my reply was yes - from the front door after waiting in line for ages. Housekeeping ran dishwasher in our room while we were out and it leaked on the kitchenette floor, but maintenance attended to promptly. Great price for room and great location in heart of Melbourne, would stay again but book extra night to establish base camp in foyer before striking out for summit of check-in. Hopefully the hotel reads this and addresses.

They went out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable. Good restaurants close by, did not get the chance to try their own unfortunately

It was great value, great location in relation to everything we wanted to do. Staff are fantastic, and the food was really lovely. Would happily stay again.

Amazing stay with breakfast, parking & welcome drinks. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and public transport. Will recommend this hotel to short and long stays.

Well situated and enjoyed our stay in a traditional hotel , check in was very slow over an hour wait and late night noise from close by establishments apart from that all was good.

Could use a little renovation to update some parts of the room such as the bath very old and discoloured

I would not class this hotel 5 star as it is all old style and not upto date , it said it had a spa bath but it was old rusty and didn't work, had no plugs for your photos, other than that it was ok and comfortable, breakfast was good but disappointed that there was no dinner area, staff were helpful and friendly but i would not go there again, i would class it as 3 star

The rooms are amazing and we got a free upgrade which was amazing! Staff are always polite and graciously always putting the people first thay are staying with them. Always happy to help.

Checking in service so terrible. Had to wait 45 minutes. Room wasn’t as the pictures

All round it was great . The staff are so friendly . Just a shame the sauna has been closed until further notice . Still advertised as having a sauna with the pool and hot tub.

An excellent place to stay in Melbourne

Just would like to say a big thank you for the staff at the Stamford hotel. Our stay was amazing. The room was incredibly clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. Recommend having the breakfast there too. Everything is within walking distance, and trams will take you anywhere else you want to go. Always can get an Uber quickly as well. Highly recommend your next stay in Melbourne to be at the Stamford hotel

Room interiors need updating. Bathroom had loose tiles around the bath/spa.

Rojina- The restaurant manager during breakfast was quite helpful and attentive. She made us feel taken care of. Went out of her way to help us. Made our day!!

The Service at Harrys Bar and cafe was very poor. They were advertising Speedy lunches, lunches.Waited over 30 minute and still couldnt even get water even though the knew i was there. Understaffed. Only toilets in that area down over 25stairs and no ift to them.

Service could have been better on check in and checkout. Checked in late at night and not given directions which building to go to. The restaurant was cold, woken up on checkout by housekeeping over an hour before needing to. Bed was comfy and so quiet!
