Great room. Loved having a kitchenette.

Great stay as always, been here a number of times for business, nice, clean rooms and centrally located to plenty of places to eat. Hit and miss on the quality of the mattress, this time the mattress was old, hard and lumpy. Not what I was looking forward too as previous stays I had found that the mattress was soft and comfortable

A very comfortable bed, soft lighting options and quiet. The shower was wonderful and roomy and the room had everything I needed. Think black curtains to keep the sun out and easy to manage the temperature of the room. Overall a very peaceful stay and a deep sleep. Great location - across the road from Prahan Market and near Chapel st.

It was quite modern and artsy - we liked the art flavour, but one thing we did not like was the misted glass that was the only thing around the bathroom which made for very low privacy when in the bathroom for a shower or to use the toilet. We loved our balcony and enjoyed some drinks there in the evening and then we made our own breakfast and sat out there in the morning. The staff were very helpful to provide us with extra glassware and items that we needed for our drinks and breakfast. The bed was very comfortable but there was quite a bit of street noise during the night.

I liked the reward of a bottle of wine to have no housekeeping. Like going green. Place was lovely and clean and good facilities in the room. What I missed was room service- none at this time as no restaurant. One on the main reasons I booked!

Good stay, location near the markets was good for us. Clean rooms, all staff interactions were good. Will stay again.

Good location. Arty decor. Disappointing no restaurant, bar or breakfast but lots of choice nearby to eat.

My friend and I had a girls' weekend in Melbourne and decided to stay at The Cullen because of its location. It did not disappoint. Where it disappointed is in the quality of the bed and pillows. The bed was creaky and springy; and the feather pillows lacked any form of support. Basically, the basics of any hotel stay got missed in this beautifully decorated room. We did ask for firmer pillows on our second night but even the staff at the front desk was apologetic for the firmness of it. And the bed in Room 115 should probably just be donated to charity. I'd love to be able to highly recommend this hotel but it's difficult to when you can't get a good night's sleep.

Clean room

A very nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was good size and appointed well. The restaurant onsite is closed but we found good choices nearby (highly recommend Angus & Bon). The location seems a bit far from downtown, but you can catch the train nearby and it's a quick and inexpensive ride back and forth. We liked the hotel, but if we returned we would probably stay closer to downtown.

Just tucked in from Chapel Street makes it a prefect location. Beds are very comfortable. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. It’s always a lovely experience staying at the Cullen.

A really comfortable and nicely designed room. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of the Prahran Market and Greville Street, as well as a stroll down to Toorak Road. Definitely will stay here again.

Colourful and quirky decor. Staff were great. Free bottle of wine for forgoing housekeeping...cool!

Loved the quirky art filled spaces, the room was a very good size, with a small sofa so somewhere to sit other than bed or desk chair. With the amazing Prahran markets over the road, as well a selection of restaurants and the wonderful Oltre cafe with wonderful coffee and ambience. Will be back. 10/10

Great place to stay, great service!

We love this hotel but no house keeping on our last night.

First time staying in a property outside of Melbourne CBD, good location opposite Prahan market. Large room with kitchenette, unfortunately we were in a balcony room on the first floor which was still a little noisy. Comfortable bed.
