I love really daggy accomodation like this. Excellent location and close to Dulcies where we had dinner. The fridge was not working so we were handed $15.

We stayed for 2 nights at the motor inn in Merimbula as it was centrally located. We weren’t expecting much and in hindsight should have stayed somewhere else. The place needs to be totally renovated as it is extremely dated and anything that has been updated is only because they have to. If you like peeling wallpaper, carpet as a wall dado, cracks on the wall then this is the place for you. Whist it was clean in the room the bathroom was in need of a proper clean. The electrics in the room are a bit interesting and the only good point was the large tv!

Just what we wanted for an overnight stay. Room was comfortable.

Lovely, friendly manager, very convenient location, easy walk to shops, quiet, continental breakfast included, inexpensive, interior is retro but I like that, value for money, no pool but you’ve got the beach a short drive away, recommended, Max :)

Room 5. The door had been kicked in and had been poorly repaired. The carpet needed replacing. The wall carpet feature dated from the 1960's. There were not two items of crockery or cutlery that matched. The toilet was blocked and one had to judge when to flush in case an upstairs until did the same, causing back wash. AND, the ceiling above the shower had dropped considerably and was hanging loose. Sadly, the (apparent) relieving staff member did not speak English. However, the breakfast cereal was fresh, as was the milk. A sad experience as we had stayed in other rooms which were quite reasonable.

Give the key to the room, no pillow cases the bed head was dirty. Im never going there again. In a word horrible

This motel is well located in the centre of town, and the rooms are reasonable, although dated. However, the check-in was an absolute stressful nightmare – our worst experience, by far, after traveling around in staying in 20+ motels in Australia. Instead of the usual friendly welcome, the male owner, dressed in a dirty polo and what appeared to be floppy underpants, was aggressive from the beginning when I asked if any advance payment has been made on our card by hotels.com. He then disappeared after I completed the card check-in, and as the card machine asked if we want a customer receipt, I innocently pressed ‘yes’. When he re-appeared and saw that I got a receipt for our payment, he started shouting at me the top of his voice in a most abusive and highly threatening manner, and approached me as if he was going to hit me. Frankly, as an adult, I have not experienced anything like this in decades. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and motels all over the world, and this experience was absolutely the worst and most threatening behaviour I have ever encountered. This guy should not be allowed to work in hospitality, and if you want to avoid a potentially similarly stressful and upsetting experience, and possibly risk a fistfight with your ‘host’ who has a dangerous anger management problem, stay well away from this motel… A check-in like this will ruin not only your day, but possibly your entire trip…

Location is great

A great convenient place to stay, easy walking distance to main street. Manager and staff very friendly and helpful. comfortable bed and room. A little dated but very good value for money will stay again

People above us drinking with loud music no respect for anyone. Room needs an urgent update. Overall it was convenient and tidy i would stay again.
