Great stay. Amazing location, right on the beachfront. Possibly the most sociable hostel I’ve stayed in. Everything was easy and simple to understand. Some improvements would be: hooks (for damp towels) in the rooms, another ‘chill’ area - away from the reception desk - especially as the rooftop is closed during rainy and windy weather, more yoga mats available, more ‘staff only areas’ for them to relax/eat in as they would use guests areas and could appear quite cliquey.

Great hostel! Solo female traveller. It was very social as had a common room and different events. Great location in Bondi, close to beach and can get to Coogee by bus. Overall very clean (but obviously depends on roomies).

The location of this hostel is exceptional if you’re staying at the beach and couldn’t be better. However, it’s not ideal if you want to be close to the city center, as it’s quite far from everything else. The beds were very comfortable and the place was clean, but the bathrooms do not provide soap or shampoo. The lighting at each bed is very well designed and thoughtful, as it doesn’t disturb other guests.

Excellent stay at Wakeup, staff and visitors are all super friendly with fun events every night which encourage socialising and making friends. Facilities are great too, showers have good pressure and heat and bathrooms are kept to a good standard. Very vibey overall - would definitely stay here again!

First time staying at a hostel and i would stay again!. I met many interesting people from all over the world and made a good friend!. Clean place and friendly staff, easy to find, they have daily activities with other guests so it was easy to make friends. DO BRING EAR PLUGS

The location is very convenient, but the facilities leave much to be desired. The bunk beds are unstable, and any movement from the upper or lower bed is easily felt, which disrupts sleep. To make matters worse, I was woken up at 2:30 a.m. by the creaking bed noise and discovered that two people were engaging in inappropriate behavior in the mixed dormitory, which you know what I mean. This was extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable. The management should address both the bed quality and enforce rules to ensure a respectful and pleasant stay for all guests.

Clean, quiet, reasonably priced. Steps from the beach and the 333 which takes you to and from the CBD. A perfect visit to Bondi Beach.

Excellent place to stay for a new comer! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Everything you need is walking distance and beach just across the street!

Lets start with the good... Location was perfect, right across from the beach and 5 minute walk to closest grocery store. Cool people working there and were helpful. Met some really cool travelers from around the world, really chill vibe there, but certainly more of a young party crowd. Lots of fun activities planned. Wine an cheese night, pizza night, and a great guided walk to Coogee beach. Definitely could be a lot better. There are NOT enough bathrooms for the amount of people. Only two private toilets on each floor - other toilet was in the female shower room - So three possible toilets for females on a floor with at least 20-30 others. Gotta get up early to use them and the sinks are small and annoying when your trying to wash your face or brush your teeth. There also weren't any hooks in any of the toilet rooms, could be quite an easy fix and makes a huge difference. The kitchen was always crowded, so unless you go in at odd hours, you'll be fighting for space, so I would just go down, look in the kitchen and almost immediately walk out and get take away, which adds up. Also, not the hostels issue because they keep all the tags of food they've taken, but someone took my groceries out of the fridge, which I had just enough for my last breakfast before checkout...had to spend 15 at McDonalds for coffee and sandwich because breakfast everywhere else was 20 . The rooms were decent sizes, and thankfully they are on top of vacuuming/cleaning due to lots of sand.
