The place was pleasant and the staff was friendly. The property could use some upkeep. Walkable to restaurants.

The surrounding areas and roads were filthy and not maintained. Construction everywhere causing dust in all areas.

Hotel Place is clean & good to stay .staaf is friendly but srounding a lot of construction so noisy and dirty roads .

No towels provided, horrible room condition. Not worth for the cost incurred.

Sandy Cay is doing a good job against impossible odds. I know this a review of the hotel, but you cannot ignore the state of the entire area at present. There appears to be no rubbish collection at all! the entire region is being turned into a Chinese utopia of Casinos and huge ugly skyscrapers. Avoid Sihanoukville for at least 5 years, or in my case, forever! Sandy Cay is Cambodian owned and run and as I said before, doing a good job under the circumstances. The rooms are clean and well presented. The beds are comfy and the swimming pool is large and inviting. The free breakfast is tasty and varied.

Bon hotel mais difficile d'accès car tous les environs étaient en travaux.

Ganske nytt hotell,bra rom.Men dessverre en bortimot totalt fraværende service.Frokostavdelingen hadde en -1- ansatt( som vi kunne registrere) og en logistikk som var usedvanlig tungvint.Den ene ansatte sprang opp og ned 2-3 etasjer, Ventetid på mat,kaffe,juice som overstiger selv en flegmatisk trønders normalnivå! I swimmingpoolen var samtlige solsenger knekt og i fullstendig ubrukkbar tilstand. Etter å ha levert en klage på dette forholdet ble samtlige senger byttet ut i løpet av 3 timer! Hotellområdet bar sterkt preg av anleggsområde,men dette er jo normalt når nye ting tas i bruk. Vi fant et strandområde som var veldig bra(når vi klarte å lokalisere det) Men det første som må bedres er servicen !

My wife was electrocuted!!!!! After getting out of the pool while walking on the slippery surface around the pool, she touched a lamp post (within 3’ of the water) for support. She was given a severe jolt from the 230 volt improperly wired lamp post. Lucky she fell so that the contact with the post was broken. She only suffered a bruise rib and sprained ankle. She could easily have died!!

Very close to Otres Village which is still old Cambodia. The hotel is great, manager was great and really easy to deal with from Canada. We loved it! You are travelling in Cambodia so you need to remember that. Locals there are awesome!!

The hotel is nice but the area around Sihanoukville is extremely chaotic at the moment due to the crazy amount of construction around it.

Sihanoukville is construction and Chinese people. Just transit through. Hotel is good.

Sihanoukville is still far from being a great getaway resort town, for now.

Staff are really nice. We had some problems with our booking that were not our fault and they rectified them as best as they could. The location is near food and a 10 minute walk to the beach.
