디 아주 - 엠파이 베이

When we read the description of The Azure and comments we made a considered decision to stay, but it did not live up to either. The location is fine and the bed was comfortable, but the place is getting tired and the owner (Dave) looks pretty tired too. The doors top the room do not open properly, Dave said it is because of the moisture, but even that could be sorted with a wood plane. The room was not serviced at all during stay, shame because we really enjoyed the tea and coffee on day one. Descriptions of the property talk about the owners organising trips and activities, but every time we asked for advice Dave wasn't sure of much and just pointed us in the direction of tour agents in town. I get the feeling the love for the place and the guests has gone so I would sadly not recommend it.

This property is lovely! Jay and Dave were both friendly and really helpful. The room was clean and had lovely decoration. Highly recommend!!

Jay was very welcoming and able to give us some good recommendations for the island. Very comfy bed and great air conditioning & fan. Only thing that could do with updating was the shower head in our room as it was a bit leaky. Overall we enjoyed our stay and it was good value for money. Thank you!

This property had 4-5 star reviews. However, we booked and were on vacation before the most recent which was poor! We arrived to rooms that were full of cobwebs. My friend waited until after 5 pm for hers. She had many more problems. My room: Gaps in the walls. No shampoo. Tins for complimentary tea or coffee: most empty. Manager rarely there. A Sign was up for contacting her through WhatsApp or Telegram. No internet! So, unless you have data you cannot contact her. It specifically says Internet for this property. Told , go buy a coffee and use a restaurant’s. Offered ceramic filtered water, but tasted like dirt. Bathroom in hallway out of order our whole stay. There is one in your room. Bathroom in room was functioning, but also gaps to the outside and insects easily come in. There is air conditioning and a fan. The fan was covered with dust as was the table lamp. This is a ghetto island with plastic garbage everywhere! Very depressing part of our visit to Cambodia. There are cleaner and nicer places to visit in Cambodia. Though most of it is littered with garbage. Prices are in USD so if you are from elsewhere it is not that cheap! Lots of tourists here. Very small area. Most accommodations are hostel type. I would not recommend to stay here or even go to this Bay! False advertising for this accommodation makes it a one star!! I have pictures but see no place to post them Expedia. I give Expedia one star as well for this awful experience.

Walls are paper thin you can hear everything in the street at all times of night except 2-4 am was usually quiet. I am a hard sleeper, but I must’ve woke up at least 10 times a night I swear I could have been in the middle of the road

Friendly owners. I told them I was unwell and they wanted to get me medicine and things. They helped me with the ac remote as I struggle to use them. The tours they offer are good the people running them are very down to earth. There’s two cute dogs at the reception and they have electrolytes in the room that I found a nice caring touch. It’s a nice homestead it’s like staying at your mum and dads house

It was great, good ac, hot shower, comfy bed, good wifi, free water refill, 3min walk from the beach, restaurants within 100ft and Dave's a nice guy and will cater to your every needs! I'll stay there again next time I'm on samloem

The place is just excellent! The staff nice and helpful. Very clean! They provide safe water to drink. We enjoyed so much our time there.

Super trevlig värd som gärna hjälpte till. Hade en del insekter på rummet, samt duschen är över toaletten. AC lät rätt mycket men fungerade bra. Superskön säng och bra läge!

The Azure was great the rooms were very nice and clean. The staff were great had all the information to help you whether it be for snorkelling/diving trips or tours and walks around the island. Was an amazing place to stay I will be going back!

Beautiful property with clean rooms and very welcoming owners!! It’s in a good location, close to a lot of food options, and the owners are also able to recommend things to do and places to go in the area. Would definitely recommend!

It's, the surroundings, the ambience, like really living in Cambodia, but then with great AC :-) Excellent Local Restaurant (that's the name) across the street. M'Pai Bay is a great place to visit.

Great stay, comfortable beds. Great location. Very friendly, knowlegeable and personable hosts ,Dave and Jay ,both very accommodating with any requests we had. Recieved a warm welcome on arrival from resident doggies Anubis and snuggly Luna as well. Told us of any events happening on the island and included us if we were interested. Would stay again and would not hesitate to recommend. Thanks again you two.

Great place to stay in M’Pai Bay. Aircon and hot water is a big plus on the island. Owners are very friendly and helpful, they’ll welcome you with open arms.
