Our room was well equipped and comfortable. The location was great and we really appreciated the facilities in the shared kitchen. A lovely town and area.

Great location in the heart of Lac Brome.
The staff was exceptional.
Because it is located in a historical building there is no elevator and the plumbing is a little wonky.
Lots of hot water.
Great restaurant and patio on the premises, but be patient if you go because they are understaff.
Limited parking behind the building.

Knowlton is a beautiful town, with lots of shops and restaurants to explore.
The downfall is if you are staying Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday a lot of the shops are closed.
Home of famous author Louise Penny was the reason we stayed here on our trip. She has opened a cafe and bookstore where you can buy Three Pines merchandise.
After our departure we headed to Virgin Hill Coffee for delicious coffee and a breakfast croissant. It is about ten minutes away from the inn on Chem. Lakeside. Definitely worth a visit.
The inn itself is quite historic, as were the beds and rooms…very small.
However, there is a games/coffee room you can go to which is equipped with a kettle, coffee, tea, etc. There is also a large lovely common balcony you can take your own drinks to.
We will definitely return to Knowlton!

Character property right in the heart of town. We were greeted warmly and given a good overview of the amenities. Our room was small but clean, quiet and had everything we required, including some old time charm.
There is a very nice balcony off the common room but note that it overlooks a noisy traffic intersection. We did not eat at the in house Le Relais but we noticed it did have a nice deck toward the back of the building.

Pas de personnel présent. Juste pour nous donner notre clé.
Impossible d'avoir les poste de télé tel Radio-Canada. Il fallait créer un compte. Franchement!
Impossible de vérifier la température ou tout simplement écouter les nouvelles nationales.
Surtout le manque de personnel pour nous informer sur la région. Je ne recommanderez pas cet hotel.

This room was not suitable at all for a person with a walking disability and should be avoided by those that do. This fact was not clearly evident other than an indicator
it had no elevators if one drilled to a description of other additional details in the property write up.
As well, the restaurant attached to the property was not open before 11 am and therefore not available for breakfast at all!
On site parking was available and room
(once we climbed 2 flights of stairs to it) was clean and nice

We liked the air conditioning, the outdoor sitting space on the balcony and the big table in the coffee room.
We found our room very quiet.

The room smelled badly like mildew/ dirty socks. I had to air it out and buy febreze to mask the smell.
The common room had two mini fridges and a keurig. There was no sink to rince or wash dishes.
I paid the cost of a hotel, but it was more basic than a youth hostel. Will consider other places next time I visit the area.

This is a lovely auberge. Tastefully decorated with the charm of the era. Room was spacious and clean. Centrally located. The staff was very friendly and informative. The common area with coffee and tea was a really nice touch and the balcony was a pleasant surprise. We will be back.

Well situated in the heart of this little community. Park your car and walk everywhere. Beautiful second story deck. Nice restaurant on main floor. Perfect for a getaway weekend.

Great location in the heart of Knowlton. The room was a good size and well maintained. There’s no elevator and at least one flight of steps up to rooms. The attached restaurant was good and there are a number of restaurants nearby.

The hotel has been in existence since 1849 and there is definitely a charm to it! I didn’t know there was no elevator when booking and my mum who is elderly had trouble to climb many stairs. The gentleman at reception (Gabriel) was so very helpful to us to and it was a relief to me and mum. We were there overnight but very happy to have been at the charming hotel. It is smack in the small town which was ideal.
