The Inn is not an Inn , simply rooms over a restaurant, That said, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. And the staff kind and helpful. The unfortunate experience was the price, $491 for a room that sold for $161 plus tax the next night, more in line with the facility. Only a room.

The Foster Inn is an ideal place to stay in Stratford it has a lovely restaurant with a nice menu for dinner and Bunch. Staff are friendly and very helpful, inn is clean.
I would recommend staying here, waking distance into town and close to the theatres.

Great updated room. A number of the outlets couldn’t hold a plug and the elevator was small with a very heavy door so moving suitcases in and out was a challenge. Great staff. Restaurant and bar on property.

The location is prime, practically next door to the Avon Theater. Our room was large with a beautiful updated bathroom… a good elevator which is nice for an older Victorian building and not always the case.
The restaurant is quaint and had a nice choice for their breakfast/brunch menu and it was well prepared.
I would recommend this place.

- Great staff.
- Restaurant was also very good with fair pricing
- Rooms where clean and well maintained
- Bathrooms very immaculate, not a single speck of grime to be found, also very modern
- Great central location, half a block from the Avon theatre
- No parking on site, there is parallel municipal street parking but at a cost, free municipal public parking lot a few blocks away, the walk is quite nice as you get to walk through the neighborhood.

Had a great stay. The rooms have been renovated, redone bathrooms, new mattresses. Staff were great as usual, had dinner in the restaurant. The new menu was great, steaks cooked as requested. Great location, close to all the shops and theatre. A great stay!!!

Just wish there was on site parking but at least free parking about 3 blocks away and was not an issue.

Fosters is our "go to" place to stay when we visit Stratford for the shows at the Festival. It is located practically right next door to two of the four theaters and is well within walking distance to the other two. Craig Foster recently sold the hotel he had founded well over 20 years ago (I'm guessing) and it is now managed by Mercers, another fine establishment in Stratford. Over the past year Mercers has been beautifully redoing the rooms and upgrading the bathrooms! The restaurant at Fosters is very, very nice and serves 4 star meals!

Overall the stay was great. Staff is wonderful and the restaurant bar is our favorite stop for drinks before heading off to plays. We have used this property before and the location can not be beaten. My only issue is there was a hold for the full stay amount plus an additional $200 for room charges. Then on check out we were charged the room rate amount. It has now been 7+ days and the fairly large hold is still pending. It is frustrating to have to review and confirm the amount is still not cleared off the card, but the charge was immediate.

Beautiful Inn, great rooms, very clean amd found our room on the third floor quiet.
The hotel team are overall very friendly and helpful.
Great bar with nice selection of wines and cocktails. Restaurant food and wait staff excellent.

The room was really cute. The atmosphere in and around the lodging was lovely. Only two complaints, the sofa bed was very uncomfortable and the food was decent but not worth what they charged. There were plenty of other options that were great, worth the cost and nearby. I definitely would stay again but not eat there.

Our experience at Foster's Inn was wonderful, from check in to check out. We also had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The meals were delicious and service excellent. We will definitely stay here again.
