The information on the hotel said the rooms were on one floor except they were all on the second floor with no elevator and I had to have people help me carry my luggage. Improper information is vital. Second, I have my wallet stolen from my room. Although the people involved were not guests at the hotel, they were known by this hotel employees and would not offer any assistance and claim they didn't know anything. The police report was filed with the Winnipeg police file number 26-33017. My passport credit cards were stolen. I identified the person who did it and Hotel staff simply said I don't know nothing. The area outside the hotel area had sketchy people hanging around. No less than 12 times. Staff had to come and unlock my door with the key because the key card will not function. There were two TV remotes I needed to use them both. One of them had no batteries in it and I had to keep switching for one remote to the other. When I brought this to the attention the hotel staff they did nothing to replace the batteries. Repeatedly I had to tell them that the TV would not work properly and it took a day and a half before someone showed up to actually get it working

The shower is not working. Informed the front desk, but she doesn't know what to do.

No water came out of the shower!

Worse experienced we had. Our booking got cancelled as “No show”. The front guy says because we arrived late and I did not pay online so my reservation was given to somebody else. We end up no place to stay. I guest it was meant not to stay to this terrible place. It looks decent in the photos but so deceiving. The building was scary and the area not safe.

The staff are nice and helpful.

However, from a professional hospitality standpoint, there are critical issues that must be addressed: Sanitation & Maintenance: The physical state of the units did not meet basic hygiene standards. I observed significant grime buildup in the bathroom fixtures and a cracked window, which presents both a safety and security risk. Operational Transparency: I was concerned to find that staff felt felt pressured to provide inaccurate information to booking platforms like Expedia due to internal anxieties. A professional environment should prioritize guest safety and honest communication over 'covering up' incidents like the nearby fire or on-site altercations. Safety: The combination of property damage and security incidents in the immediate vicinity made for an unsettling stay.While the staff has the right attitude, the property requires urgent maintenance and a commitment to transparent management to ensure guest safety and satisfaction."

For this price is ok.

Room was good. Casino down the road.

The air condition was excellent and room was very clean.

The Grand Royal Legacy Hotel was very clean, and everything worked perfectly. It was very close to the supermarket and located in a quiet area. It was a very nice place, and I would definitely visit again.

I gave a low star rating on the condition and amenities! The staff are very friendly and welcoming! I rented a king room and ended up with two queens! Beds were comfortable and clean! There wasn’t a coffee pot in the room but the front desk dropped one off at my request . They aim to please for sure! There isn’t currently a restaurant on property but Tim’s and McDonalds are mins walking. Also a drive through liquor store on site, along with minutes from the McPhilips St Casino The new owners are trying to rejuvenate a once totally run down place, and still have a long way to go on Reno’s! The price was right as I am cheap!😊 119.00 all in! Staff were great!

Needed a place to stay while there was no water at home. Accommodating

It was not clean as expected. Coffee machine inside the room was not working. And it wasn’t even cleaned, whoever last used it, left the tea bag inside the machine and nobody bothered to check upon that.

Good place with all amenities within walking distance , friendly staff.
