smelled of mildew. there was a nicotine pouch stuck to the roof for 260$ for one night you can stay at better places

The room smelled like cigar/cigarette smoke, like someone had probably smoked there for years, and they didn't have it re-painted or cleaned properly. Cleaning team missed some spots in the bathroom (kinda gross), and TV had a big line of dead pixels (buy a $100 replacement from Costco???) Staff was very friendly, and the bedding was nice, so that was a plus.

The beds are cots with terrible mattresses. Holes in the walls, no facecloths only 2 big shower towels. Parking lot is full of pot holes. Mold in shower.

Room needs to be throughly dusted and wiped down, lamp, door to outside, window ledges, pictures on the walls. Dried slime in various places in room. Random beads left from previous guests. Layers of dust and crumbs under beds. Peeling wallpaper, dirty washroom walls and door. Thermostat and fan unit below window did not work, could not adjust room temperature. Pool area was good! Overall a tired looking hotel.

We stayed here for the kiddie pool for our toddlers but it was far too cold for them. They keep it at the same temp as the other pool so they lasted less than 10mins. The place itself is nice and they are doing some upgrades. But i wouldnt pay rhe extra to stay here again until my kids are older. It really is a.shame because none of.the toddlers ir babies lasted in the pool very long and when i asked them if its usually warmer they told me its always set the same as the other pool.

They are updating the hallways and walls, will be much better once they are done. Unit itself was clean, but laminate flooring in livivingroom needs to be replaced. Unit 320. Otherwise everything was good.

The room was ok but the upkeep of the property was very lacking. We had to stay in the “other” building not attached to the main and the wall paper was peeling, there was missing trim, needs some repairs. It was noisy with doors constantly opening and closing, all through the night.

The furniture in the living room needed updating. The couch and kitchen chairs were stained and worn down.

The annex building is gross and run down.

Loved it

We love coming here for the apartment style suites and the pool/waterslide/hot tub. The hotel is looking tired but we were happy to see some upgrades starting. Our room was in slight disrepair on arrival with a broken cupboard door and a leaky dishwasher. Upstairs neighbours were extremely loud during quiet hours but security dealt with them appropriately. We still like the Grande Rockies but it’s time for some refreshed furnishings in the rooms.

Cons: Floor was sticky. Mystery fluid in the Keurig. Neighbor smoking weed on nearby balcony brought smoke in from window hvac unit. Both Beds creaky. I expect better for $200 per night. No breakfast provided. Pros: no evidence of bed bugs. Was not robbed.

The keypad on the door to the annex did not work consistently. There was no trolley available for the annex. The floor around the toilet in the bathroom could have been cleaner.

No room service during stay. Later than anyone else for check-in and early check-out at 10:00

Brought my kids here for spring break. Been coming to this hotel for years now. Always had good experiences. Only thing bad was the mattress in the sofa bed was old and horrible to sleep on …. Went to front desk and they brought us up a cot right away with new sheets. Great customer service and so darn convenient to walk to shops and grocery store!

Only a portion of the rooms/suites remains a hotel, the rest are privately owned and used as main residence or vacation properties. The property is tired looking - we stayed in a one bedroom suite in the main building. The decor is very dark and worn. The furnishings are well used. The sofa in the living room is so old - it is sagging in the middle. I can’t imaging it would be comfortable to sleep on. The bed was okay - probably ready for a replacement. All appliances in the kitchen and other equipment in the room worked fine. The location is convenient- it is a short walk to the Main Street and other dining options. However, it is also right next to the main and busy highway- it is noisy especially if your room faces the highway as ours was. We had no problems with staff (as some reviewers suggested) - they were polite and friendly. If you aren’t a fussy sleeper and don’t mind well used decor - this is a good competitively priced hotel in Canmore.

Overall , beautiful room with views. I was disappointed in such an early checkout time. Not a relaxing morning getting on our way when we have to be out by 10. I asked for a late check out and was declined. My boyfriend logged into the wifi and now his contacts are getting spam ware emails shortly after. Disappointing now there’s a possible cyber attack. Room was ok. The kitchen counters were not wiped down when we arrived. I tripped on the carpet in the hall as it was rippling. Kids had a good time in the pool but when I got out of the hot tub I got hives on my legs and feet. Never had that before.
