The room was beautiful and geared to details..food was excellent.lpet friendly….our dog was allowed inside restaurant and offered a bowl of water…music on the beautiful lakeside view

Weather was poor which put a damper on trip, no fault of the resort. Fires could have been started earlier in the day for people who wanted to sit outside. There is no coffee in the rooms which is a huge downfall as they don't serve it until 8-8:30am. Adding coffee to rooms would really add to the experience. Some wear and tear on rooms starting to show up since I was here last. Toilet wouldn't flush unless took off the back cover. Price of shower kits has increased. Was so looking forward to my stay. I always recommend Lakeside but was a little underwhelmed this time unfortunately.

Everything was top notch from the staff service to the facilities, to the view, to the amazing food!

Adorable spot. Loved the room we booked (the 10) which had great light. It was a quick walk to Wellington’s main strip and the Drake which was also great. Excellent base for time in the county, even if the pool was the closed for the season.

Very nice property but not a place to go in the off season for the price that they charge! No pool, restaurant because of the season totally understand that but they should adjust their pricing the rooms are small very clean but can hear the noise from the other rooms.

Beautiful property- would love to come back when the restaurant is open!

What a great stay at The Lakeside! I give it 5 stars for the rare-in-Canada pros listed here, but there are a few cons. Cons: -Cost: but I must say it is a great place that deserves charging more than the average hotels. I guess the issue is that even the below-average ones are very expensive in Canada, increasing all places' rates; -Pool hours: during the Summer, I would strongly prefer that the pool would be open until 8pm, at least, for overnight guests only. If the issue is pool service (food & drinks), I believe there is no need for the pool to have service until the end. 6pm is enough for the service - like it is now. -Bed: The only downside at the room is the bed that, having an iron frame, made a noise everytime I moved during the night. A bit disturbing. Pros: -Service: outstanding! From the friendly front staff to the restaurant servers and pool staff, everyone has a smile for you and makes you feel appreciated! -Pool: amazing! Water temperature was great, size is good (but it gets crowded on a sunny day of Summer), many chairs (staff went above and beyond to find me a place), very nice environment! -Restaurant: service was awesome, food was tasty (calamari, burger' salad was 100%, pesto pizza...) and the view.... wow! Unforgettable. At night, the place gets charming lighting, cozy tropical vibes. The mosquitoes? Not welcome! But it is expected since we're right by the lake. The bug sprays offered are appreciated! -The whole place decor: OUTSTANDING! Top notch!

I loved the property grounds and how much it offered. The only thing I would change was the pool service -- a bit too pushy with trying to sell you drinks.

Always love our stay here. The place is beautiful and the staff and owners are always so welcoming. This place will always have a special place in our heart. We wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in the county when we visit again. Can’t wait to go back next year.
